VR Puppet Game
Experienced on the Oculus Quest 2
So I know this game is free and it’s in Early Access as well, but it’s just a bad experience. I have played many free to play VR games that were a lot better than this experience. There’s very little positive I can say about this game other than it seemed to be running fine (steady fps) and I did not experience any game-breaking bugs.
Unfortunately, everything else I have to say is negative. This is a clunky game with bad visuals. It’s not original either. VarBlocks VR is a better version of this game. The controls are bad, the visuals are bad, the sounds are either non-existent or sound like they were made on a 90s headset mic. The gameplay is just running your puppet towards the green portal while avoiding obstacles. Unfortunately, the gameplay experience is so bad that you’ll want to pay to stop playing this game.

‘VR Puppet Game’ is a platform/interactive experience in which you control a string puppet along with a series of obstacles. While you do have to bear in mind the fact that this is free it is as basic as games get with the most basic of graphics and sadly also levels of control. But I have to say, on paper the idea of this game does have a lot of potential and to be fair it is a good use of the motion controllers. At the end of the day, it is creative indie games like that that will push VR into the future and without them, VR gaming has no future. So for that reason, I give this the thumbs up, but only for creative potential reasons.

Music is soothing. Scenery pretty. I have finished the game but am missing a “relax zone”. I gone back multiple times without finding it.

Your Way is a pure ‘no frills’ walking simulator. You follow trails through a forest and come upon various points of interest (each with an achievement attached). The sound track consists of relaxing instrumentals with no environmental sounds and no narrative. The forest and sky are rendered in great detail, with lovely views, but there is little to distinguish where you are at any given time. Most of the trails look alike so you just keep moving until you find something. There is no save function which is not an issue since your achievements are retained.

Jumps VR
Jumps VR is a fast paced first person platformer, where you have a limited amount of jumps to complete each level. Keep collecting jump tokens and powerups to make it through to the end. Each world introduces exciting new game mechanics to figure out and master, including trampolines, cannons, rocket jumping and more!
Jumps VR builds upon the original game, Jumps, now with full motion controls and fast-paced VR platforming.
Hubris
A VR action-adventure game set in the unique and intriguing Hubris Sci-Fi Universe.
As a player, you take the role of a recruit in training to become an agent of the mighty and feared Order-Of-Objectivity, also known as the ‘OOO’.
Together with the pilot Lucia, you are sent to the planetoid belt of the Twin Planetary System, to search for the mysterious agent Cyanha.
You will have to use all of your agility and strength to survive the harsh environment and wildlife on a planet which is being terraformed. Along the way you will have to fight like a real OOO agent. You will learn to craft weaponry and control vehicles and machinery.
But more than that, you will need all the help you can get, as there are other factions eager to unravel the long-forgotten secrets of the OOO.

Punkgrad
Punkgrad is a fast-paced and bloody 3D platformer. You will become a crazy guy, with an important mission on his shoulders to save the world that was hung by a strange homeless man. It is not clear where this man came from and who he is at all, but apparently, now you will have to do what he says, but exactly to chop and to shoot creatures from different dimensions and listen to his meaningless chatter on the interlink, because there is no another way out of the situation.
You will have to go through all this experience till the end and maybe there you will find answers to your numerous questions or not, who knows…
