CADE PRIME

CADE PRIME

I dont usually write Reviews for indie games, but this “thing” rubbed me the wrong way a bit too much.

So what is “CADE PRIME”?

  • A quadruple Assetflip bunched together.

  • It literally uses the demo levels of the Assetpacks linked below as the entire games content

  • Green

  • a complete mess

Assetpacks (Appear in this order in the game with pretty much zero changes to the levels themselves.):

You might be put off by the beginning of the game because of how much green there is. It’s just difficult to see what you’re doing, where you’re going, and there are some odd bugs here and there.

But look past that, because the latter half of the game has a handful of decent levels that have some Portal or Q.U.B.E like puzzle elements, and is the fun part of the game. I’d of liked for this game to have consisted more of the type of levels and puzzles you saw in that half, and just skipped the parkour/platforming levels.

Gladio

Gladio

Gladio has a satisfying gore mechanic and unique fighting system. The game does have its issues though, blocking sometimes does not activate at all and kicking sends enemies through the map or past the invisible wall where I cannot reach them, forcing me to restart. Overall this game is a blast and it will surely develop further into an awesome game in the future, but for now you should avoid kicking!

Recommendations:

-More weapons and maybe a shield

-The ability to mix and match armor

-The option to choose which enemies spawn

Real player with 7.9 hrs in game

When first looking at Gladio one might think it is a tiny fighting game with with no real ingame progress and attacks that could seriously use some work. You would not be wrong. The player is in a small-ish box and has to fight enemies, the only progress is watching the wave counter go up, and attacks can seem quite stupid at times.

Still, this game can be a lot of fun when you lack something to do. Add some bounce or whatever music floats your boat (the game has no soundtrack), and you are in for half an hour of adrenaline while trying to crack that level 3 armor.

I like the fact that this game give you a lot of different ways to improve your time and enable you to compete with your friends.

I thought I would just casually go through the 3 levels but man was I wrong…

I restarted the first run for a bit of training and discovered that there was a ghost system ! Racing your ghost just make it impossible to quit, ran and ran again to beat myself to perfection and see how high I could go in the leader-board ! (I stopped after destroying my fingers, I’m not used to speed run)

One bad point tho : the tutorial text get away too quickly and don’t explain the orb mechanism that well, it took me some time to understand…

Run!!!

Run!!!

“Run!!!” is a first person 3D platformer that seems to have been slapped together/asset flipped with Unity. Gameplay consists of running around asset flipped 3D platformer tracks as quickly as you can.

There’s little in the way of gameplay merits here for anyone who isn’t a hardcore fan of first person platformers, but who also despises quality or didn’t want to pay for Mirror’s Edge.

While this is free, it’s really bad. I can’t recommend it’s worth downloading, there’s many better free games on Steam.

honestly the game is terrible i could give props for the effort they probably put into it but you literally walk the whole time and on the 3rd level you literally phase through a platform and die

Synthwave Hop

Great game, the movement is super fluid and satisfying. Can be played to relax or as a competitive outlet. This game is awesome as is - and seems perfectly set up for future expansion if the dev is interested in doing so with more levels or a level editor. (also maybe a timer by the speed to know if you’re on pace)

This game sparked a gaming curiosity and competitiveness in me that I haven’t had in a long time. This game felt both satisfying and fluid, while also managing to be extremely challenging. While the game only has 20 levels and gameplay is really simple, it managed to keep me entertained and on the edge of my seat for around 10 hours with a sense of accomplishment that no other game in my recent memory has given me.

I will definitely be looking more into the FPS Precision Platformer genre as I believe this game has given me a new favorite after Roguelike/Roguelite.

This game is great, it’s free, and the movement is cool. This is also a great game if your looking for a short speedrun.

was wondering if you still read this chat so i think me and a lot of others will happely buy a DLC to this game and i will pay at least like 10 bucks for a level that is like 3 but 25x times bigger and have a lot of small skips and stuff and will take over like 7 minutes when your good and know the route but will take like 30 minutes first attempt because it will be very hard and maybe you can make a boss fight or something idk but please update this game or something

TL;DR:

Pros: Cheap, short and sweet, quick restart, some levels are challenging, can cheese some levels really badly and get super fast completion (good if you are into finding alternative paths), no glitches..

Cons: Inconsistent jumps and grapples that rely on camera angles, tight timer for a few levels (still reasonable with some practices), lacks variety.

This is a cool and simple 3D platformer game which requires some timing and routing skills in order to complete all achievements.

However there is something I dislike about both of it’s core elements, jumping and grappling hook. The height (or should I say direction of momentum) of your jumps and grapples depend on your camera. Which means whenever you want to jump or shoot yourself higher, you need to look at the sky and hope you land on the next available ground.
