Crazy Kung Fu

Crazy Kung Fu

This game made me feel like I was the Karate Kid, except, instead of a real old man making me wax his car I was given a cardboard cut-out of an old man.

Not that that’s a bad thing, naturally. I don’t particularly want an old man watching me work up a sweat, but I would have liked him to perhaps throw some guidance my way on how I can improve rather than waiting for the end of the match.

This game feels more like I’m training in martial arts than playing a game, there’s no mid-game scoring, no timed events or any tips during the match, you just need to get on with it, give it your best and see your ways to improve at the end. It did feel quite similar to when I was in school doing marital arts training.

About as close as you can get to a training simulator for martial arts. You aren’t hitting things to a soundtrack. It is purely a training dummy with spinning targets you either Block (forearm), punch, or dodge. The harder and firmer your form, the more points you build up.

If you’re looking for a game that will give you a little cardio workout, pick this up. Level 5 and beyond will have you sparring with 3 simultaneously spinning targets to work with.

This game had me sweating from my eyelashes. When you find your groove, and stop ‘trying’, your natural reactions become instant. Your right hand will be blocking, but your already looking to your left to intercept the next target.

Well made game made by what I believe is a single dev. It plays like a DMC styled action game with a Megaman aesthetic. Support the dev and buy the game!

Playthrough with medium and hard mode here: https://youtu.be/L5SAe3_ewnc

I’m straight up editing out easy mode, because it actually makes this game look bad when it’s actually pretty well made. Medium should be the easy mode it’s like normal difficulty and fun to play through easy just has less enemies less mechanics less obstacles less everything instead of just taking less damage or doing more damage in easy mode it just makes the game look bland The fact the game makes you go through easy mode to play medium is a shame, I was actually disappointed finishing easy mode I’m glad I stuck around for medium. Once you get to medium though the spinny mini game in the areas was fun, you get projectile enemies, and shield dudes are the devil. Hard mode is actually hard, which is good in a game like this where you have sick mechanics adding difficulty and making me feel like a bad ass is A+ the game is short, but I’m excited for more difficult stages for sure. There’s one move this dude does I can’t put my finger on it, but I hate it maybe the creator knows what it is but he does like a one swing attack I don’t know if it’s to come out of a sprint/run or a dash, but if you do it in hard mode the shield dudes/any other enemy in the game are going to pound the life out of you I wish whatever that move is wasn’t in the game it makes you feel stun locked. I really enjoyed this though overall definitely recommend for the price.

My First Senran Kagura game. I had way more fun than I expected. Simple yet satisfying combat with tons of cute girls and fan service. It’s meant to be played by shutting your brain off and just enjoying the game for what it is.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst HD

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst HD

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst is perhaps the most extreme example yet of Namco Bandai’s attempt to appeal to the converted and only to the converted. Here’s a game not simply for any old Naruto fan, but for Naruto fans who are completely up to date with the story and characters as they currently exist in the anime/manga episodes and are seeking a new way of experiencing previously explored plotlines. If you’re not up to date, then not only are you going to struggle enormously with the story as depicted in the game’s early stages, but you’re going to ruin what you’ve not yet seen of the TV series. Unfortunately, due to gameplay that is as unwieldy and bloated as its title, Full Burst is not an acceptable way to get yourself up to date with this franchise.

NARUTO SHIPPUDEN: Ultimate Ninja STORM 3 Full Burst

I’m really amazed with how good this game is and it totally worth a shot, even if you are not watching Naruto Shippuden, the game itself it totally awesome and i am sure you will get a little bit curious about the Anime/Manga serie ( I’d recommend you to watch some episodes to get into the story of the game and make it more enjoyable) , the story mode start out after the battle against Pain (The Leader of The Akatsuki) following the anime/manga story untill the 4th great ninja war.

NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM

I want to point out that I don’t actually have 60+ hours played on this game. By the in-game timer I have around 25 hours, but this game sometimes doesn’t close properly and Steam still thinks it’s running even when you’re playing other games. I’m sure you can get around 20 hours of solo playtime if you go for every mission, collectible, and bonus conditions for the missions.

There are a large cast of playable and support characters that each have their own cool techniques and comboes to see. The whole aesthetic of the game is enjoyable and if you’re a fan of Naruto, it doesn’t disappoint. And, when it comes down to it, you’re getting this game because you’re a fan of Naruto and you want to relive some memories. It’s not a competitive and technical skill-oriented game. It’s a simple fighting game with a Naruto gimmick. That was enough for me to enjoy it, despite my numerous other problems.

Real player with 60.2 hrs in game

In my opinion, this is the worst Naruto Storm game so far.

This game allows you to do everything you could’ve dreamt of as a kid when it came to Naruto game. You can explore Konoha, talk to different characters. Climb on a huge tree together with main characters, fight huge bosses like Gamabunta, Manda and Shukaku and so on and so on. But as good as it sounds, each of the named aspects has its flaws.

Sounds pretty good at first, doesn’t it? But after few hours, you start to realize:

Konoha is pretty much an empty sandbox. There is not nothing to do besides running around and the game forces you to waste your time there even if you don’t want to by making you do 3 missions: play the game for 20 hours, make 40000 steps in Konoha village and destroy 1000 objects. Each of those activities felt like a chore that you don’t want to do. You could say “don’t do it if you don’t like it”, but if you want to experience true final ending which is a short cinematic of Naruto departure, you can’t ignore those.

Rise of Mavros

Rise of Mavros

Really enjoyable and solid game to pass some time. You can directly go ahead and slash some enemies to freshen up your mind. Also, there is a great Early Access management. It is easy to see where the game is heading, thanks to the roadmap. Frequent updates, quick fixes and amazing new content added constantly. Thumbs Up!

Real player with 9.7 hrs in game

This is a really well developed roguelite game, where you experience a third-person combat system, while you are trying to survive through the waves and build the necessary skills in order to complete all the levels. Of course, the game is in early access and it is not totally finished. I really enjoyed playing Rise of Mavros and it is getting better with each update. I had some issues with the targeting system, where sometimes the targeting system locked on to the weirdest location, but it is finally fixed and works as intended. I haven’t experienced anymore issues and now the game-play is really satisfying. I just think that we need more content (skills, maps, characters etc.) Thankfully, the Roadmap addresses all the necessary stuff and seems like we are moving on the right track as we are getting new skills and assets quite frequently.

DEAD OR ALIVE 6

DEAD OR ALIVE 6

My Thoughts:

Dead or Alive 6 is now officially more Dead than Alive.

I’m not a hardcore Dead or Alive player, but it was one of the first fighting games that I committed to. The previous iteration of DOA, Dead or Alive 5 Last Round despite its issues is an amazing game. DOA6 is a game that I have been playing for a full year and instead of it being the next great entry in the DOA series, 6 is plagued with flawed mechanics, questionable balancing and some of the worst development support I think I’ve ever seen.

Real player with 1298.3 hrs in game

I’m not real fan of fighting game, but this game is the only one i can learn how its system working from tutorial mode and that will help me belong to play this game, for example:

  • Triangle system (Strike - Hold - Throw) and how to counter each other

  • How to combo (Stun opponent = Launch == Juggle)

  • Strike, Hold, Throw from BASIC to ADVANCED

  • Chain attack (how to cancel hit when you perform combo, juggle, bait opponent, etc…)

  • Wake up system, wake up kick, fast recovery (which help you make advantage or against opponent when you’re downing)
