Hunter’s Arena: Legends
A bit of a hot take.
I’d say I gave this game more than a fair shake. I slogged through it as courtesy to a friend who gifted it to me.
I was lured in by the idea of this being a unique fighting game. The characters look cool, the fighting styles looked saucy, and the battle royale was just extra. When i got into it though, i found every encounter frustrating, win or lose.
My main gripe are the fights themselves, victors are decided by whoever rushes down 1st and simply guesses right. But that’s not all, the way the game tells you to block isn’t the correct way to defend, dodges do nothing, inputs seem to vanish into smoke, and your 1 functional escape skill can be easily activated on accident.

Not sure what the negative reviews are about, Most people dont like to look at things in perspective. This is a new developer and this is their first game being put out, and with that being kept in mind the game is actually very good. but most importantly IT WORKS! I cant tell you how many multi billion dollar companies put out games that are poorly optimized garbage (blizzard).
This game does have its bugs obviously, but most are fairly rare. nothing that cant be patched out as long as people are reporting it. But i REALLY want to emphasize the optimization of the game. I experience zero lag, no rubber banding, no input lag, and no random disconnects. In terms of PvP combat, this game plays better in PvP than any other MMO that has mass PvP or open world PvP. This includes tera (especially tera), BDO, BnS, etc. There IS some quirkyness tho that happens when chasing and tagging a enemy down. Attacks from melee seem to hit when they shouldnt hit, but thats honestly the only weird thing ive noticed thus far and its not anything to rage about considering you can not flee from fights anyway since the opponent will eventually catch up to you through the wind current mechanic.

Override 2: Super Mech League
Completely different game from the first.
the first game was like a test run not bad but needed more time to mature through the likes of a sequel and then we get override 2 a different game from the first in too many ways and just like the first it feels like it is a test run that needed more work before release both games are like tech demos… they are playable no bugs or glitches from what i can tell graphics are good (better in the first game) gameplay can be fun at times but mostly dull most fun is had with 2-4 player splitscreen especially because the game has no community but as long as you have friends/ family its a non issue however this game ditches the story mode that the first game had in place of a lazy league mode that tries to force online on you and since there is no community you wait for long periods of time for it to stop matchmaking (cant stop it unless you go offline on steam) to fight bots anyway. they also just straight took away customizations from the first game feeling like they are trying to add them later as paid dlc sleezy…. speaking of sleezy devs have a habit of releasing the game and dropping it after release they did it with the first and quickly did it with this one they are no where to be seen dont expect balance patches or qol gameplay changes to advance the game further.

Changes From Original Override
Super Mech League (SML) takes the entire game in a new direction. For the uninitiated and return players, I will outline the differences from my experience. I will try objectively list differences with my opinions on the changes listed separately. I would recommend both games, though SML provides more content and would be recommended first.
Gameplay/Combat
It is important to note that the fundamentals of fighting have changed since OG Override. In both games, each arm/punch and leg/kick was individually assigned to the shoulder and trigger buttons. This was a distinguishing feature in playing like a lumbering mech.

Had to try this out at the low price. Problem with no detection controller until I managed the option with Force On in the Steam menu. Runs smooth unlike the promo video. Need to get up to speed with the AI.

Override: Mech City Brawl
Okay so, Despite the thumbs up there is a lot more to this.
In its current state I cannot recommend this game, depending on what you want from it.
It succeeds in one key aspect. being a party game. For the purpose of playing offline splitscreen with your mates this game is excellent. Through lack of arbitrary restrictions the combat is surprisingly deep if you decide to properly explore it.
Fundamentally this game is fantastic.
However, when it leaves the realm of split screen this game starts falling flat on almost every aspect.

I’m teetering on recommending this and telling people to flee for their lives until a few updates hit to smooth things over, and that actually punches me in the gut. It’s actually depressing that something that came off as incredibly fun during the beta is leaving me so on edge after release.
To start, the game is just as fun as you’d imagine a giant robot brawler to be. Hits actually feel like hits. When you connect with a charged attack or a nice meaty special, it feels good. The issue here is the hit detection at times. Direct hits will at times just phase through the target with no explanation, and certain moves shift the hitboxes around in the wonkiest ways.

Fight Party
Loving this game in the short time I’ve played! I must have said to the two people I was playing with that I’d stop for the night about 10 times. Finally, I had to just force myself to close the game so I could be up for work the next morning.
This is a very fun and engaging party game. At the time I’m posting this, there is a single player Hunger Games style FFA where you face a handful of CPUs, if you can’t or don’t want to play multiplayer. Speaking of the multiplayer, it supports up to 32 players and provides a good number of different maps/biomes to fight to the death on.

This game, despite being simple in concept, is un ironically the most fun I have had with a party game in quite sometime. This isn’t due to a lack of searching either, I own xbox gamepass, I own a switch, both have an amazing selection of party games ranging from Overcooked to Mario Party, that said, this game’s dumb fun value is nothing to scoff at. If you have a group of friends, say 3 or 4, this game is absolutely worth the price of admission if updated beyond its current state. Keep at it Mr. Vibin.

Beat ‘em up - game breaking bug - polish = Showed some promise as a different kind of Final Fight style game, but still needs work. Tried to replay a couple of times and it stalled in different areas.

This is a first impressions review and I honestly have to be respectful.
1. This has it’s own little charm to it and it reminds me of the side b type cartoon shows on Nicktoons and Disney XD. So as far as looks, it’s okay.
2. There are some configuration issues with the Controller. I really don’t like the idea to play a Beat em up with an analog stick. It just feels so wrong to me and the button setup works but I really don’t know why this strange thing happens with the R2 button where you can pause it.

Magical Battle Festa
Pros:-Graphic is pretty good
-The gameplay is awesome
-There is many variation of build…you wanna go tank / speed / attack etc..
-There is many of characters and you can mix the skill disk and formation to suit your type of build
-Magical Battle Festa Mode will test your build and combo to the limits
-Its extremely fun if you have friends to play with you(i highly recommended it)
-The Story is normal(the good thing about the story is the voice actor…so cute… :v)

Personally, I like the game. Though I do find it a bit too easy. Only a couple of battles so far have taken any real skill. But the story, while kind of cliched, so far is at least kind of fun. I feel like it would be a great multiplayer game as it stands. Since a human player would boost the difficulty considerably.
Besides the easy difficulty, the other issue is that you can get trapped in combos pretty easily. And there’s no way to break out of a combo once you get caught in it. The game does at least have a decent recover. But it would be nice if you could counter, dodge, block, or cancel an opponents move while in a combo. The last three would already be possible if the recovery time was shorter.
