Big Mutha Truckers 2

I am honestly disappointed.

Comparing to the previous title, this game has been stripped from all cool features of BMT series:

There’s no increasing difficulty curve, opponents are easier to defeat, no sudden price changes on the market,

less opportunities for spectacular car crashes, can’t race other truck drivers, can’t paint a logo on a trailer,

we have less upgrades, less radio stations, worse sound … and the map is just meh.

I am giving it 4 out of 10.

I wish they could add first title on steam.

Having a blast playing this game again. It’s an arcade trucking game. Don’t expect a lot of depth. Just grab the stuff the stuff that says “Bargain”, drive to another town and sell it if the numbers are green. Driving from one end of the map to the other only takes about 2.5 minutes, but during that time you’ll be assaulted by all kinds of things, like UFOs, biker gangs, etc. You can find shortcuts, pick up hobos and crash into other cars for points and money. Yes, driving from one town to another is timed, but if you don’t make it in time, you only lose the bonus. There are several radio stations to listen to with awesome music and fun dialogue that really fits the game.

Very good game so far, we already enjoy it with my gf. Control is pretty ok, we have some small issues with targeting the items but ok nothing serious. We already finished first chapter, all good, great game so far, a little hard too. But pretty good. will do a review when we finished all the chapters :-D nice game ;-)

Cube Conflict

Cube Conflict

Cube Conflict is a free and open-source FPS where smileys are at war without mercy.

  • 20 weapons from the most rotten to the most cheated!

  • 15 stupid classes to play, from the kamikaze to the junkie or the ninja!

  • 6 themed maps, from the moon with reduced gravity to the volcano and its molten lava

  • Dozens of possibilities to customize your avatar with capes, graves, smileys, etc.

  • 100% free, all skins can be unlocked while playing!

Weapons you said?

Little guns are for kiddies. Nothing like a portable GAU-8, a little bit of atomic bomb, and a rocket minigun!

Class system

Doctor, Soldier? For newbies. No doubt you would rather be a Kamikaze to blow yourself up and kill all the enemies around you or even a wizard to cast magic spells!

Useful(?) items

Ok, you can die fast, but you should be able to escape death with one power armor and multiple drugs!

Maps (for real!)

Incredible there are maps on this game! So, everyone knows rocket jump right? Well, try it on the moon.

A lot of skins

You can look like a badass… or an idiot. But mostly an idiot. Since you’re gonna die (a lot) we added different graves! Like a nice poop for the noobs and gold ingots for the richest players.

Pipe Dreamin' VR: The Big Easy

Pipe Dreamin' VR: The Big Easy

A clever combination of VR puzzle games and VR climbing games.

I was a fan of the old 2D puzzlers Pipe Mania and Pipe Dream, and this is a worthy VR successor. If you can tolerate a few minor imperfections and you are driven by steam achievements then it’s a fun 2.5 hours of 3D puzzling. For some strange reason it started as a slide show and I had to turn my SteamVR resolution down to 1700 x 1700 before my RTX 3060ti would make 90 fps on my Vive Pro 2, yet it still looked full resolution.

Scarenoid

Scarenoid

SCARENOID is a ridiculously macabre action-RPG.

It follows the offbeat adventures of a vindictive little Coward who must overcome his paranoid fear to retrieve his guileless Companion from harm’s way that awaits them in an alien environment.

Game offers a singleplayer third person experience in a story-rich 3D environment combined with a gripping plot. Designed for all lovers of horror-comedy story-rich plots. It’s the atmosphere of Courage the Cowardly Dog meeting the mechanics of Diablo.

  • battle monsters and bizarre adversaries

  • overcome paranoid fear by developing skills and abilities

  • collect items, health and experience points; pay attention to stamina and breath levels

  • choose your adventure; multiple ways to pass a stage

  • canny deaths abounds; no boring repetitive videos

  • atmospheric and challenging environments and levels

  • customizable character

  • easily accessible; comprehensive tutorial

  • real-time gameplay with pause

  • dark, surreal humor

If you haven’t forgot what art, creativity and more importantly having an imagination meant when you were a child then you’ll understand the value and importance of Nightmare Puppeteer. It’s the genius brainchild of the genius M dot Strange, an artist well ahead of his time that hasn’t forgot what it truly means to be an artist.

…Honestly I just am an entitled fucker who got a free key XD, but either way, I would recommend this if you wanna make some weird stuff on the fly, it’s very good for that, and Imagination Rabbit is an odd but good dude…whoever they are o.o.

Pull Stay

Pull Stay

  • Old-school Beat ‘em up brawler as the core mechanic. You can learn a new move by smacking each enemy type accordingly.

  • Silly and funny Traps: Baked fish missile, Toothpaste turret, Watermelon bazooka… and much more! Over 15 types of gadgets are ready to be unlocked by you!

  • Break neighbors’ houses to collect resources. Use them to set traps or build a new room.

  • You can have Susumu make power-up items for you. But be careful! When he’s goofing off, give him some loving punishment.

  • Young jobless guy who is avoiding social interactions and shutting himself inside his room all day.

  • In Japan, people like him are called Hikikomori(shut-in), which has become a big social problem.

  • Enemies are trying to reach out to Susumu because they are worried about him, or want to mock him, or just to see him in the wild…

  • When enemies reach Susumu, the game is over. I cannot explain what exactly will happen there, but I can relate to Susumu so badly because I’m also a Hikikomori. I’m making this game solo just trying to reflect my own situation with this game…

The Spy Who Shrunk Me

The Spy Who Shrunk Me

Last level is a great example “How to make cool game and destroy it with final level”.

Optimization sucks and even though my PC can run game correctly with (at least) stable 30 fps, there are lots of frame drops which is annoying (unless you like playing with 10 fps).

How about setting, maybe that will change something and will make the game run properly.

NOPE. Settings is imo one of the devs joke, cause it doesn’t change anything (despite the fog from tutorial seen just after start and never again). Game looks exactly the same, no matter which variant you’ve chosen.

UPDATE: After getting past a couple B.S. parts (due to bugs) I’ve changed my mind about the game.

This game isn’t ready for prime time just yet, but it’s still pretty fun.

The good:

1. The shrink ray mechanic is fun! This might be a good cheap game when it’s done and all the problems are ironed out.

2. The artwork and music are good

3. Good voice acting

4. Good humor

The bad:

1. Shrink ray projectiles sometimes will literally go THROUGH the broad side of an enemy’s chest and “miss”. This is made worse by the fact that the reload time for the shrink ray is so long. If your shot goes through an alerted agent, you’re as good as dead. You can’t afford to miss any shots, even once.

Lightmatter

Lightmatter

Lightmatter took me 9 hours to complete both endings and while I wasn’t really satisfied with either ending, the journey to get there was a lot of fun. Lightmatter isn’t shy when it shows its love for Portal but it is really heavy on the mechanics from The Talos Principle. Instead of jammers, you’ve got spotlights and instead of connectors you’ve got photon connectors.

PROS

  • great antagonist. Virgil is no Cave Johnson or GlaDos but he is suitably condescending and megalomaniacal. I hated him but in a good way.

Real player with 16.6 hrs in game

Lightmatter is a first person ‘escape the facility’ exercise that uses light to create pathways through dark places. You play from a 1st person perspective as a journalist who is visiting the company headquarters for a publicity event. Evidently, a system failure has occurred and the building has been evacuated, leaving you behind. The CEO provides guidance and instruction (via an announcement system) to help you exit through 38 chapters. The music and voice overs are engaging and the landscape is your basic industrial complex with lots of moving parts, buttons, levers, etc.
