Football Game

Football Game

With its visuals, storytelling and soundtrack, Football Game is a stylistic, dark, neat little point’n’click adventure game.

Definitely a recommendation from me.

Apperantly Pros and Cons is a popular thing so:

*Pros:

-A great, fittingly dark soundtrack that is especially pleasing if you already like its genre.

-A relatively short and simple story which is, at the same time, open to multiple interpretations.

-Puzzle elements are nice, since, as pointed out by another reviewer, they make sense, not too hard for just being hard or easy to be easy, you probably won’t get stuck at all and will feel satisfied after solving the puzzles.

Football Game is an engaging point&click adventure and I think you will be happy to get it around $2. I would describe it as a psychological drama. Luckily it was less about the football and more about the characters. For a relatively short game, it has an enjoyable narrative that complements a gloomy atmosphere. You can even interact with few items in the environment that have little purpose to the actual plot. Overall a competent game with a satisfying ending.

Most of the puzzles were very intuitive. I only got stuck once but otherwise, the logic got me through everything else. Sometimes you have to pay attention to the dialogue to get a solution. I am not a huge fan of reading but there was no overwhelming amount of text. You could probably beat the game around 1 hour unless you get stuck on last puzzle like me. The interface worked really well and I did not have any technical issues. Although I would like to see indicators next to borders so I know where the exits are.

Up All Night

I haven’t heard of Fiendish Fiction before but they sure have their fingers on the pulse of horror. This game is a horror lover’s dream. Amazing storytelling, beguiling visuals, and a haunting soundtrack give this game all it needs for a truly scary treat and all just in time for Halloween. Pick this one up if you’re looking for something that’s sure to keep you up all night.

An excellent horror story with well-written characters! Chilling atmosphere. Although there are many endings, none of them feel rushed - each path gives you more insight into the mystery and the characters' motivations. Also, unlocking the secret bonus scene is so worth it.

Brief Hunted Review

Come Out To The Coast, We’ll Get Together, Have A Few Laughs…

My dream of being an 80s action hero is realized each time I enter Nakatomi Plaza Kobayashi Tower to save my wife Holly Sharon even though our relationship has been on the rocks lately. This game is tripe. I spent nearly 40 minutes very slowly trudging from room to room with no idea what I was meant to be doing. Putting aside the bad english translations which I could get the jist of, there is still no coherent plot or instructions. The controls are terrible, you move glacially slowly and you spend forever waiting for dialogue boxes to close trying to open doors and explore. I think this game is a big maze of number-matching item fetch quests and as it takes about 10 minutes waiting for you character to move from one side of the map to the other at snails pace, frankly life is too short.

Yes, and more - now to the review.

Good, unique little puzzle platformer. Controls were frustrating when I was trying to rush through things, but are manageable if you take your time. The rewind system works really well and lets you trial-and-error out solutions. Puzzles are a little on the easy side, but there are a few head-scratchers in there. Definitely worth a play-through!

Lurkers

Lurkers

Lurkers #recommended for people who lurk, sorry I had to insert bad jokes here, is a BL Visual Novel where it sets in Victorian England when the Jack The Ripper’s cases took place. As Eddy Nichols, avenge your mother’s death #if your Main Character is a whore’s son, sounds promising while seeking for your love. #what a smart boy, never losing a chance.

[olist]PROS:

  • A variety of white, classical, and thriller music #really puts you on the shoes, not on the socks.

Pros:

1. With the plot following our protagonist seeking justice for the murder of his mother by Jack the Ripper, it uses an interesting integration of light romance among the 2 love interests; Chris and William.

2. Having 3 characters with different desires eventually turning into 1 common goal was done quite well, especially how different William, Eddy, and Chris are. It all starts to add up once more information is obtained on the hunt for Jack the Ripper.

Nyctophilia

Nyctophilia

Imagine waking up, not entirely sure where you are, but knowing it’s not quite where you’re supposed to be. Nyctophilia runs somewhere along those lines, but it’s not entirely clear whether you should be where you end up, either. A tale of parallel lives and mental mysteries, this game provides a bit to chew on mentally despite its rather short play time.

In Nyctophilia, you assume the role of a young man who doesn’t entirely want to return to the game’s primary setting, a house from his past, but who seems to have little choice in the matter. Over a series of days, you explore the house and what was left in it, including shadows of the past that grow increasingly menacing. At the same time, you explore the main character’s past, only to find why the game’s called Nyctophilia in the first place.
