Overview

If anyone seeks out REXCurse for an opinion about a gang-themed game (especially a gang-themed game involving management) you know ol' Il Pallino is on the job. With no sort of backstory and a mostly casual experience, Gangster Empire: Vendetta doesn’t have anything in the way of a “vendetta” against anyone or anything. Instead, there’s just turn-based strategy gaming in which the player controls a gang with a maximum of eight people and looks to complete the game by either satisfying requirements for money or reputation. Crimes involve petty theft, violent assaults, hacking, drug dealing, long-term schemes (which can be either violent or non-violent), and good old fashioned legitimate businesses. Sometimes the player may be asked to assign gang members to complete various tasks for outside bosses who provide large amounts of money upon completion and an increase in reputation the player can either hoard in hopes of reaching their overall goal or spend on attacking a rival crime boss who occasionally schemes against the main character’s gang.

Tower Defense like it has to be!

With the old Version, Level 15 was challenging, but with last update, up to level 60, it is harder.

After 20 hours i’m happy that i’ve reached 54.

Yes it lags documentation but take it like another quest to figure out how all SIX towers work.

What it really lags is an undo. At least of the last move. Missclicking is really anoying.

Choose Dilemmas wisely, you only get 8:

3 void or panic

5 dread or doubt

7 heart or doom

9 magma or doubt

11 dread or mill

13 magma or doubt

I love to come across strategy games which are presented minimalistically - in both in gameplay and UI. I see this game shining with unlimited potential in the future of the Tower Defence genre. I really like the pricing strategy of the dev too. Buy this one soon!

PROS:

1. Properly minimal (if you like that). I mean, this game is pretty much the barebones essentials of a classic TD with a clever twist.

2. The Clever Twist: Mazing. There’s many strategies to win, and it helps if you can solve a maze by just looking at it.

I want to like this game.

Great graphics, cool theme, lots of humor, decent pacing.

My primary issue is that the game isn’t particularly skill-based. It’s mostly a matter of getting good powerup drops, and grinding endlessly. After about 1 hour of play I discovered all there was to know about the game-play, after that there was no room for me as a player to grow… just hold Attack, spam abilities, on and on.

I really feel like this could be an amazing game… it needs… polish?

One thing I really disliked is the feeling that when you attack you’re just fanning at air. There’s no hit interruptions for you or foes, you just swing like you’re cutting through air and the enemies do the same to you. Maybe that’s what needs to be revisted by the devs.

Wonderful game with tons of humor, beautiful music and scenery. You will fight armies of monkeys and 10 bosses with your weapon, your own army and powerful skills. Mighty Horsemen of the Apocalypse will aid you with rewards and directly in combat causing pure carnage. You can upgrade Vladimir’s stats and horde certain skills for future use with vladcoins, making yourself , your army and Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse stronger the more you play. The game has funny and mysterious story mode, endless mode with random bosses where you can keep going endlessly after you beat the final boss in stoty mode, unlocking more power and challenges, and challenge mode for highest floor reached for records chart.

Karanos Solitaire

A relaxing solitaire game ideal for when you have a little bit of spare time. Satisfying sound fx and adjustable visuals (white on black hurts my eyes but the blue background is great). Recommended.

Fun single player card game. Only gripe is I wish some of the achievements weren’t so impossible. Game is priced perfectly and the pixel art looks great. Looking forward to see more games by the dev.

I bet I’ve played about forty of these 2D snake games on Steam over the years.. and THIS snake game is easily one of the better snake games on Steam! ..Well worth the money to any fan of classic retro snake games!

To be the ideal snake game, the developer should make some pretty simple changes:

  • The above game options should provide a sound slider. Needing to adjust your volume manually on your PC is just “icky” even in a two dollar snake game like this.

An eminently playable version of the classic. Runs really well and has some cool features. needs frame limiting and a volume control.

The Last Spell

The Last Spell

A fun and addictive game that’s essentially tower defense with elements of party management/rpg, town/resource/strategic management, and enjoyable “rogue-like-lite-whatever” persistent unlocks over time. Maybe even a dash of almost RTS with how worker management flows.

The gameplay loop itself is simple - defend your little “city” against hordes of monsters by night, build/develop base/heroes/etc by day - repeat til you fail or win - earn unlocks to get stronger for the next time - and repeat.

It has been a long while since I enjoyed game this much straight on launch, last game I sank this many hours in on launch was Trails of Cold Steel IV on PS4 launch even if it is ‘just’ early access game right now there already is plenty to play and explore, in the roughly 10 hours so far I already unlocked good chunk of upgrades… And I barely made dent in the actual % of them

There are some weapons that are very obviously superior to others, at least that’s how I feel personally so far, like Spears and Daggers are ridiculously OP if you can grab bit of mana regen or in case of dagger/hand crossbows getting few multihits in, poison dagger toss is strong enough to hold a side on their own for first 4-5 nights which I think is silly (But I don’t say this cause I think it should be nerfed mind you, I actually think it is good thing that there are simply weapons that are better, while other have a nieche they can fulfill, like I personally don’t think Hammer is too good in general, but the aoe stun is good for stalling, it won’t work long term though unless you heavily spec into that kind of playstyle with your hero)

Trivia Quiz: All about everything!

Trivia Quiz: All about everything!

It was a good game until you arrive at History it’s mostly just Russian History which makes it hard. Some questions are also just completely wrong/faulty and a lot of spelling mistakes which makes it all harder. Would only recommend it for Russian players.

Typical and simple trivia quiz game with plenty of different subjects and areas varying from history to physics and from geology to chemistry. What could really go wrong? Well while there is nothing wrong with the gameplay and there is a lot of interesting questions - sometimes the translations in English are crude and lazy, moreover I do dare to say that this game really underlines the existence of Abkhazia, which is very controversial subject and I really hope that the devs would set their political views at bay and make more neutral questions. But nevertheless it is a good game and really good training if you are participating for some quiz show.

Color Party

Color Party

Arrange the pictures so that together were only pictures that have at least one matching color.

Incorrectly arranged pictures pulsate.

Game features:

original gameplay;

suitable for all ages;

3 stylish sets of color pictures: “People”, “Things”, “Patterns”;

95 Steam achievements (if you complete a levels with “Things” set);

5 level sizes of your choice;

relaxing music;

an infinite number of unique levels!

Real player with 0.7 hrs in game

Color Party is too easy and too repetitive to be enjoyable. All you need to do is to place similar-looking tiles next to one another, and the level will be over. If instead of generating random levels more thought was put on designing progressively challenging ones, the game might have had some gameplay value. However, at its current state Color Party is too boring to be a delightful experience.

Don’t be late in this race against time runner-plateformer game ! You can make your own choices and write your own story. The game got pretty intense and deep rather quickly and without noticing it you will be drown in the storyline. I would say the storytelling is clearly inspired by the cryptic Dark souls games so I would suggest you to be prepared to explore this world if you want to piece the whole story together and finally have the full picture. I can assure you it totally worths it !

Concerning the gameplay, I can only say one thing : Prepare yourself to split your brain into two parts, you will need it ! Sometimes you will feel like you want to rage and give up because you cannot get through a level, but the amazing soundtracks just won’t let you. When you will finally succeed, HELL YEAH it is so satisfying !
