Henosis™

Henosis™

Introduction

While 2D platformer and puzzle games are not something I play often, Henosis managed to catch my eye because of its visuals. And even though this game is not something I would remember for a long time, it still delivers a decent amount of entertainment.

Story

You play as a cute, small, blue blob who collects water tokens so it could restore the vitality of its homeworld. And that is it, nothing more, nothing less. To be precise, the game does not have any form of storytelling, and this might be the only information about the story you can get. However, this game does not need any, and I did not miss it.

What’s a blob gotta do to get some service around here?

If you want to see Henosis in action, watch my video. It’s a blob’s life and your goal is to find water to survive. Jumping from platform to platform is satisfying and a bit surreal, and timing your jumps and movement is both joyful and rage-inducing. To assist you, you’ve got a time slowing effect that is required in some parts and makes others easier. Henosis isn’t difficult, per se, except when it is.

Fomalhaut Flowers :: noir, luck, and an unresponsive jump button :: side scrolling puzzle (?) platformer that comes off as frustrating due to the awkward physics and unavoidable deaths. 4.5/10

The game is very interesting, difficulty level intermediate.

Honestly I don’t really know what to say to this game.

It didn’t take me that long to finish the game but a few levels made me struggle.

It was a short game but I still had my fun. So with the low price, I don’t regret owning this game.

WONDERFUL GAME BY A WONDERFUL TEAM OF DEVELOPERS!!!!!! REALLY CREATIVE IDEA 10/10 BEST GAME EVER

Real player with 1.1 hrs in game

a small, lovely platformer. introduces new mechanics at an effective pace within levels that are simple to read yet offer multiple routes to progression. puzzles are nontrivial, but quite forgiving. animation is smooth and uncluttered. this is not a long game (i am unskilled at platformers, and was able to beat it in an hour), nor a fiendishly challenging platformer, nor does it have an extensive or intricate plot. its ambitions are more modest: to craft a tidy, unique little game. and at that it has succeeded mightily.

Played with it for a little while, seems like it could be good in the future but as of current I can barely understand what is happening and I don’t think there’s enough game in this game. I think it could use more mechanics involving interacting with the universe. Looking at the game’s description it talked about the player’s power growing so maybe you unlock things such as creating your own stars or messing with civilizations? Although what it really needs are more detailed graphics to make it look less like pixels on a screen or a tutorial so you can know what those pixels are doing on the screen.
