Willy Jetman: Astromonkey’s Revenge
Really enjoying this game so far , it looks great and the gameplay is spot on . There is a bit of leveling up although no choices to be made when you do , you have to discover / unlock / upgrade your equipment in a pleasing fashion .
Its also so cute and funny and the nods to vintage games ( I was reminiscing about Jet Set Willy only yesterday ) really sold it for me .
I just hope it doesn’t get to difficult like these games often do , probably cos I’m rubbish at them . A controller would be good .

Willy Jetman is a very enjoyable platformer game - with a jetpack and a gun. Some times it even feels like a shoot’em’up.
You play Willy, a spaceman travelling the galaxy and cleaning debris for recycling.
When you land on this particular planet, you realize something’s not right as you start to uncover Astrocorp’s evil plans. Thus begins the adventure that made Willy “the greatest hero on the galaxy” (quoting himself). The plot/story is simple and the dialogues are humourous. At first you only have a basic blaster and a very limited jetpack, but as you progress you will find other weapons and upgrades to boost Willy’s power.

PSYCRON
psycron is one of the best games i’ve played this year (alongside the obvious metroid dread!) i love the movement, combat, music, there’s alot to love! i for sure plan on getting all the achievements, only 5 left, most timed ones since i really took my time with the game and trying to find everything there is to find. i followed the game for a few months before release, and it was what i was primarily playing day of release and the day or two following. it’s not the longest game, especially if 100% isn’t a think you like about these sorts of games, however the gameplay is a blast. it’s pretty simple, however has a whole lotta polish. the boss fights are a blast, and the soundtrack slaps (even the bonus cut track) and i find myself listening to it quite often. i’ve really never found myself super into any indie games in the past, however theres a first for everything i suppose. overall, i’d highly recommend psycron, especially if you’re into the metroid series as i am. even if you’ve never played those, it’s still a great game, well worth the price.

I think that PSYCRON is an incredibly valuable little lesson in scope. Is it a massive, sprawling world, with area after area, enemy after enemy, and ability after ability? No, but the world it does have is incredibly charming, and the more concise levels allow for significantly more thought to be put into what is[/] there. Is it a beautifully rendered 3d masterpiece, or a stylized, hand drawn 2d wonderland? Neither, really, but the simple, blocky pixel art reminds me of the flash games I would spend hours and hours on as a kid, and I’d be lying if that didn’t make me love it. Is the combat some sort of revolutionary new system, or an incredible refinement of one that we’ve all come to love? As you’re probably expecting, not really, no, but I found myself skipping enemies less often than I do in other metroidvanias, for whatever that’s worth.

Tale of six
An interesting game with an unusual idea. If you like hard platformers (but you have to be ATTENTIVE, and sometimes you have to think) or you want to try your luck, then this game is for you.

Simple graphics, but was a well made and challenging platformer.

Ziode Shadow
A fantastic indie game. Reminds me of the classic platformers of yesteryear, but with sharp HD graphics, a unique artstyle and very witty dialogue. The artwork, voice acting and presentation are all top notch, but the real magic in this game lies in the way it makes you work your brain. There is no just holding right and zooming through a level, you will have to think for yourself and some of the puzzles are real brain teasers!

Easy to pick up and enjoyable. Well worth the monies.

Havoc Runner
“Havoc Runner” is an action 2d platformer game set in a space future, in which the cold war between planets is over, and the solar system is at peace again. However, this brought an enormous task of disarming several planets and satellites.
During the work on Titan’s moon (on Saturn), the central computer (the “Tupan”) of the “Anhanguera” base understood that the war is not over yet and began the sequence of launching ballistic missiles to various planets.
Now it is up to you to use a mechanical vehicle (the “Lampião”) and disable all defenses on that base and stop the attack, even if it means having to make way with the use of unnecessary force.
You shouldn’t expect this to be an easy task, because the place is full of automated weapons (killer robots, missile launchers, traps …), so get ready for a turbulent descent on Titan’s surface.

Turbo Shell
Turbo Shell is a fast-paced 2D platformer with a unique movement mechanic: instead of running and jumping, you push and pull yourself through a sci-fi world with the help of the EPS (Egg Propulsion System).
Pick up the EPS and get going
The EPS (Egg Propulsion System) allows you to glide through the sci-fi world of Turbo Shell: push yourself off surfaces within a range using the blue ray, or pull yourself towards walls and ceilings using the orange ray.
Using the EPS is easy to learn. By perfecting your moves, you’ll find even faster and more efficient ways to complete a level. Enjoy the rewarding feeling of skillfully flying through the space station and climb up the ranks on the leaderboard.
Overcome obstacles and avoid hazards
Sizzling laser barriers, flying buzzsaws and hazardous corridors will pave your path. Avoid them to make sure you won’t splash!
Turbo Shell is a precision platformer and completing levels without getting smashed will become more difficult on the way. Instant respawns and checkpoints will help you stay motivated and reach your goal.

-
Challenging and rewarding:
Prepare to splash. A lot. Instant respawns will get you going again in no time!
