Jungle Town: Birthday quest
Got this game with my just turned 6 year old daughter and she loved it! Played it through to the end, then half of it again. Clean art with interesting characters, neat animation, and fun music. Puzzles that are good for kids, also really showed her allot about using a mouse (probably would be great on a touch screen). There was one little bug where a piece that was required wasn’t selecting (Raccoon level with wood piece), but on reloading it worked fine. The clothing design selection and cutting was a particularly fun one for her. We saw the to be continued at the end, and would gladly get the sequel (it ifs in the works), great work to the devs on this, good to see some kid content on steam.

Songs for a Hero - Definitive Edition
Would I recommend this game? Yes, I already have actually. However I do have some issues in regards to certain aspects of the game that personally bother me that I’d like to share. But first I would like to open up with the things that I appreciate about the game!
The Positives
The charm this game exudes is so unique
With a singing hero so to speak
Our hero’s voice oh so soothing
Every line he sings is oh so amusing
The hero’s movements are freeing
A hookshot, double jump, a way of being
– Real player with 12.3 hrs in game
You ever play a game that advertises a really unique feature and go “Can this even work?” then play it and change your tune to “OH BOY THIS CAN WORK REALLY WELL” in the first hour? That’s what Songs for a Hero did to me. I’m keeping a much closer eye on Brazil in the future, because this game is a total work of heart and love for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive era of gaming.
See, Songs isn’t just trying to play on your nostalgia - it wants to be your nostalgia in the best ways possible. Not only does it sing to you in a wonderfully comedic fashion, but if you turn off the singing (which you can do if it bothers you) then you find an amazing homage to Wonder Boy and several other Sega titles layered into it. Sound effect and music design, physics and motion, and the look itself have all meshed into one of my favorite games of 2020. There were challenging points in the game, but never a point where I blamed or questioned the devs for why it was so hard.

Tribble Troubles
A Tribble in Trouble
It’s tough being a Tribble! You get caught on a ship doing what a Tribble does… eating all of their Quadrotriticale. And the Captain, in a fit of rage, beams you into the center of a nearby planet whose molten lava core is rising! It’s up to you to jump, climb and squish your way to safety as you face off against countless obstacles and treacherous enemies.
The Underground
Watch out for streams and pools of red hot lava! But also keep your eye out for Glommers that are ready to pounce on you whenever you get near.
The Canyon
Climb your way out of the underground and you reach the canyon. Now you’ll go up against ferocious sandworms with spikes! The only time you can attack them is when they’re turning. But be quick!
The Jungle
Next, you’ll reach the jungle. Things get tougher as you’ll have to watch out for poisonous vines, sharp toothed plant traps and alien apes that love nothing more than chasing and squishing Tribbles! The only way to stop an ape is to land on him when he’s briefly trapped in the toothy plant trap!
The Spaceship
Clear the jungle and you’ll be accidentally beamed back up to the ship that you started on. There you’ll find a crew that’s completely ready to greet you… with deadly phaser blasts!
