Enjoyable game with great potential. Hearing a few of my song tracks in it is cool too.

I really wanted to like this game but i cant give it a good review. I think that if they put a little more work into it it could be a much better game.

Romancelvania

Romancelvania

Romancelvania is a both a loving parody of Metroidvanias and fresh take on dating in games. It’s an RPG that features in-depth weapon and magic based combat, exploration based platforming, and a cast of gorgeous monsters that you won’t be able to resist.

You play as the legendary playboy vampire himself, Drac, as he battles and romances his way across Transylvania. After being reluctantly recruited by the Grim Reaper to star in a “reality dating show,” he’s on a mission to find the world’s most eligible monsters, get them to move into his party mansion, and restore his former glory by killing everything in his path along the way.

Introducing the Thirsty Metroidvania - Romance your way across Transylvania, encounter absurd monsters, craft weapons, learn magic, and more.

Build your castle - Grow the party mansion as you convince more cast members to move in, and decide where monsters live to get stat and skill bonuses.

Enjoy the Showmance - Take the cast members on outlandish dates, massage your sweetheart to unlock more conversation options, and spend time getting to know these supernatural hotties.

Penultimate final review updated early April 2020 (I’ve still got some updating to do as this review is based on the early ‘work in progress’ version, plus I’ve repeated myself in several places. I don’t know when I’ll be posting the final version, but it will be eventually.)

In Brief:

The Last Roman Village is a strategy defense game that gives freedom to develop a whole Roman city from scratch and to wisely choose the way to defend it. The game allows players to experience a variety of options and creativity. Side scrolling defense games are one of my favorite types of games (next to Breakouts, Shmups and top down TD games). Edit.

After playing for several days i can tell there is no content. I mean the content this genre had 10 years ago is present, but not improved at all. You can lvl up base to 25 and that’s it. The only activitity for you is to try and beat others in different rankings, which is impossible due to existance of whales who can pay 10k+ $ monthly. Just in 2-3 days the ammount of time to upgrade or research something reached 20+ hours, so without constant speed ups there is nothing much to do about it. And by speeding up you pretty much cheating levels and reach end-game in hours, after which there is nothing else to do.

Summoner Apprentice

For the price you pay, this is a bargain. Fun game. You choose your own starting army. From there, after each level, you must add an army and try to beat the next level. Etc…

This is a fun little game. There is a good selection of units with some interesting combinations. The dev is very responsive on the forum.

If you want an interesting game to play for 6 to 10 hours this is a good one for the price.

First of all, this is a QUINTET remaster. The mere fact that this game exists is a tremendous blessing for a certain cult fanbase.

The obvious bias aside, is the game good?

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE

It’s obvious that a lot of faithful effort was put into remastering this game. From including Yuzo Koshiro’s amazing soundtrack and accompaniment to the astounding artwork given to the many characters, menus and intro cutscene. People put their sweat and tears into this, and it shows in that regard.

A great example on how to make a remake. Renaissance does an excellent job of bring the original SNES games action and town sim into a modern era with new graphics, classic and remixed soundtrack, and expanded story that makes you feel more immersed in what was a somewhat bare-bones world before.

The new artwork is great and the story telling is actually quite deep. Everything reads like a positive psalm with the writing really showing some great character development and overall storytelling. Which is good as all the new characters do little gameplay wise. The story is the only way you will interact and learn about the characters and their backstories.

Satellite Repairman

Satellite Repairman

Concept of the game is fun, but you simply don’t have enough time to get prepared before everything you build is obliterated. Also, the mechanics of building new comms towers/missile launchers doesn’t allow you to build in spaces that should be big enough, or replace destroyed buildings.

This game has great potential, and I’d really enjoy it if there were just a few fixes made. Even if the sandbox mode allowed you to have a greater preparation time the game would be much more playable.

Real player with 5.7 hrs in game

Really not a fun game. Took a decent RTS idea and tried using 2D platforming controls. I did not enjoy trying to set up a defense satellite by hovering with a jetpack, in a timed challenge. Plus, the core mechanics of comms, radar, and gps are not explained very well, their use isn’t obvious on the screen, and even the tutorial briefly mentions them. I get the sense that this design is intentionally difficult to understand, and I think that is what ultimately kills the fun for me. If the game offered some more assistance to the challenges, then I could be more patient with the game’s own shortcomings.

Not a bad game, but not very convenient scaling (the game is made for 720p), you can’t reassign the keys, I would help to make a Russian translation
