Potato Party: The Potatomancer

Potato Party: The Potatomancer

In a city where nature and technology unite in harmony, a tournament begins. A great tragedy is remembered, and the actions of the exceptional are honored. The curtain rises on a glorious stage of wood and steel, and at the end, a crown of legend. Storms surge across the battlefield, as gravity twists and meteors tear through the air. Let the games begin.

Potato Party: The Potatomancer is an in-development competitive party platformer in which potatoes in mech suits compete in an array of head-to-head arena challenges to crown a victor, who can turn the laws of nature against their opponents.

Key features:

  • Try game modes including King of the Hill and Capture The Flag as you dash, jump, and blast your way to victory. With free-for-all and team play options, the glory of victory can be shared with others or yours alone.

  • With each round you win, you may choose a new force of nature to unleash upon your opponents for the next round.

  • Play with friends locally or create and compete in online rooms. Customize your game mode, level, and more to organize a tournament of epic proportions.

  • Compete across a myriad of levels, each with a unique set of challenges and interactables that could determine your success or seal your defeat. Use your environment and its gifts to your advantage as you seek victory, but beware, as your opponents will undoubtedly do the same…

Luna’s Fishing Garden

Luna’s Fishing Garden

Luna’s Fishing Gardenis a short, cosy fishing and building game. Players take on the role of Cassie and catch fish, trade items and create a dream garden by cleaning up, planting flora, and bringing animals to the curious archipelago.

The game sees Cassie complete quests for the various animal characters that she meets, whether it is cleaning the islands for Luna the fox or collecting specific fish for Jellybean the seal. As various tasks are completed Cassie is able to clear more of the storm’s residual fog and explore further, encountering more characters along the way. Fishing is obviously a major part of the game and can be set to either relaxing or challenging mode. There is also a definite idler aspect to the game as most farming items have a timer dictating how often they can be harvested such as the tamarillo tree which has a 95-second turnaround.

Really fun and relaxing game. The premise is simple but entertaining - catch fish and plant flora to harvest and sell for money which you can then use to plant more decorations around the colourful, pixel islands of the game. As somebody who really enjoys the fishing mechanics in Stardew Valley, this game easily had my attention for hours. If you find that method of fishing too difficult, there is an option to switch to an easier method, so the game remains fun and relaxing for people of all preferences.

I really enjoyed my time with this game so far!

I love the art style and animations. The pixel art is simple yet so vibrant and fun to look at.

I really enjoyed the visual feedback from the large milk bottle filling up as you milk the cows to the cow’s heart broken expressions when you miss your chance at milking them.

The short 12 page backstory was quirky and silly, put a smile on my face.

Something about this just gives me nostalgia of playing flash games in my free time as a kid idk

TLDR? Fun and simple little runner, would recommend

I’ve played this for over 10hrs on my phone, I love it! Very simple but there is still alot of subtle things you need to learn if you wanna get a high score (my best is 150k which is currently 3rd).

Probably works better as a mobile game but it’s free and there are no ads or mtx (how did the dev intend to make any money lol?) so there is literally no downside to downloading it. Very polished, no bugs fun game loop. Strong recommend if you like high score games!

Farm Dungeons

Farm Dungeons

Farm Dungeons was a fun experience. At a glance, it appears to be another piece of rpgmaker shovelware, but it further investigation will show that this game has time and effort put into it.

For years, I thought that a dungeon-crawling farm simulator would be amazing! The closest I have found to such a game is the Rune Factory series, which is really fantastic, but not quite what I have searched for. When I found this game, I decided to give it a shot.

  • The Dungeon is well balanced and fun to explore.

Short and sweet Indie made with RPG Maker MV -

There’s farming, cooking, pets, and item crafting (through merchants) and repeatable bosses which is a nice spin on the traditional JRPG fare.

Bonus points for allowing The Dog to not only join the party, but lead it (if you put them first in the roster). You will gain multiple party members and can swap them at the beginning of a round without sacrificing an action; combined with auto battle (basic attacks only) this meant a minimal grind while also making the back benchers relevant to buff or debuff.
