Fencing

Fencing

Game Description:

[Fencing] is a unique game. You can’t control the characters to run and jump like other games. Here, you can only use the WASD keyboard or the left rocker of the handle to control the character’s vertical upward, forward, left and right jump attack.

The injury mechanism is the same as the scoring mechanism in real fencing competition. If the sword hits different parts of the body, it will cause different degrees of damage! Head, legs, arms and upper body, the degree of injury decreased in turn.

Based on the physical type of combat, therefore, according to your sword time, sword angle, sword length, to determine the hit character, whether it will fly in a certain direction!

Contains the Ragdoll system, after each hit, it will open the corresponding Ragdoll simulation effect according to your hit to the character’s body bone.

Game Features:

-Unique character manipulation

-Injury mechanism of fencing

-Physical combat

-Ragdoll simulation

-Various game forms, free fight, local double, AI watch, follow-up will update the online mode!

-At present, there are six available characters, and more will be launched in the future.

About Me:

This independent game, developed by me alone, has many shortcomings at present. I welcome the feedback from players who have purchased the game, and hope to make [fencing] more perfect in the future! In addition, I sincerely welcome the friends who love the game, as well as the old comrades in arms of the independent game camp, to actively communicate with me.

Unable to play with friends. Lan option doesn’t work. This is critical! Explain how the game works more concisely as the wording is very off and confusing. The bugs are numerous. I do not recommend this right now. Definitely a Dungeon Dice Monsters' concept which could be great. Play Yu-Gi-Oh Dungeon Dice Monsters and use that formula. This is a great concept but it gets boring fast. Needs a lot of work. Not worth the $1.20 right now but it will be. Good start but keep going.

Needs more work. Opponent can not summon any monsters. Only way to win is to use only lvl 1 monsters so you can summon enough to get to your opponent. Needs multiplayer. When volume is changed in settings, it always ends up on default 60% which is way too loud.

Pretty fun, and very pretty looking Metroidvania. Definitely worth a playthrough if you like this genre. It took me about 37 hours to 100% it.

Most of the game isn’t terribly difficult, but a lot of environmental challenges are unforgiving. However, the master level martial arts challenge and final boss are extremely difficult and are, by far, the most challenging parts of the game - even on normal.

The few critiques I have are:

  • You can’t see what your moves are unless you’re at a repair station.

Graphics, design, animations, weapons, movement, map / exploration, secrets - everything is great, a real treat for metroidvania fans like me. The voice acting is fun (I recommend the Chinese original with subtitles; nothing comes close to a badass rabbit with a deep Chinese voice).

For me there’s only one downside: the combat. I never really got into it. It’s okay if you only fight one or two enemies, but the moment there are more the mechanics didn’t really work for me. In my opinion it’s a bad design decision to add parrying as a skill rather late in the game; I found it hard to integrate into the fights, especially those with many enemies. That’s because there’re a lot of combos in fighting which prevent the enemy from breaking free - but enemies also use combos and once you’re hit you cannot recover but must endure the whole combo. So, if you miss the first parry you are locked into an animation and get a beating - rather frustrating. If you’re fighting several enemies, I found it impossible to block on all sides; in the end I sometimes parried by accident, but I rarely used it on purpose. Even later in the game you get the ability to dash through enemies and attacks, which I found to be a lot more useful. So, I won most of the harder fights because I leveled up to the max and dashed a lot. Simply put: Other games do combat better.

Atom

Atom

This game is cool. You can make the hydrogen do some wild things visually. Hydrogen is interesting since (I think) all of our other atoms come from hydrogen, don’t quote me on that.

For .99, it’s certainly worth it.

I hope the author makes more content like this.

Not gonna lie, this game is stupid at the moment. That being said, I’m glad I bought it; it was truly fun to mess around with, and although the novelty has worn off, it was nice. I really hope more is added in the near future. I would recommend this game but only because I thought it was fun for the few minutes I played it. A little tour of the controls would be nice, and it would be good if one could change the quality of the graphics and/or simulation for different PCs to properly run it at whatever they want/need. This game could be a lot of fun if it were to take a look at other sandbox-type simulation games, such as universe sandbox. The variety of different controls with explanations detailed enough that you know what you’re doing when you’re doing it. Overall, I’d say the only reason I had fun playing this was my ADHD deciding to hyperfixate on this for the past little bit. Keep working on this game and it could become something greater

Eggy

Eggy

If this game ended after The end? Level I would have given it a good review but it doesn’t. The game ends after Vulcano which is a poorly designed hell compared to the rest of the game. It’s like going from easy to expert. It took me 6 hours to casually make it to the last level but since then I have spent 14 hours trying to complete Vulcano with no luck.

I just fully completed the game and I can definitely say: it was absolutely worth my time, effort and money. Eggy is a fantastic 2D-platformer with intriguing physics, stunning environments and a lot of creativity.

The game can be frustrating at times, but unlike games such as Getting Over It, Eggy does have checkpoints. Everytime you make it to another checkpoint after a hard section, you feel satisfied and motivated to continue playing.

The game also truly rewards creativity. While there always is a path available to go, thinking out of the box can occasionally work in your favor and reward you with a shortcut or secret.

Our goal is to utilize modern technology, techniques. and game design to “shake up” a nostalgic aesthetic. In DoubleShake, you’ll follow Loam as she investigates and grapples with the ensuing Chaos that threatens to toss her humble little island into total disorder!

I was sponsored to play this for a few hours with a friend, we really enjoyed it and will likely stream it some more. It’s got a clever co-op mechanic and the map design was fun and the soundtrack was also great, though sadly I couldn’t even find it on YouTube. We had a few issues with remote play but it did work and presumably that isn’t an issue on Switch either. Good fun :)

My Review: https://youtu.be/-Ueu03A11gY

I’m already a big fan of 3D Platformers, but one that adds in a twin stick shooting mechanic is not only unique but proves to be a ton of fun! As of writing this, I’m less than halfway through the game, but as a big fan of the genre, this one is doing a lot of things I like already.

There’s beautiful and vibrant graphics, fun boss battles, interesting platforming challenges and of course, a little bit of bullet hell shooting thrown in to mix it all up. The switching mechanic (switching between the 2 main characters) is very interesting as well. While this has been done before, the developer has gone out of their way to implement it so that it pulls double duty being able to break glass, shields and other assorted things.

This is a very bad billiards game. There are a large number of bugs in this game. You can’t even quit the game normally. You can only use Alt + F4. And one achievement is broken. I bet even if Judd Trump come to play this game, he would cry and go back to find his mother.

It’s time to uninstall.
