Highly Likely

Highly Likely

This is one of the most tedious, poorly crafted, boring, pointless games I’ve ever played.

The art is phenomenal. The developers' interactions with folks on the internet is disappointing. It’s buggy and slow and repetitive.

There are no puzzles, there’s barely a story, there is no skill involved, it’s poorly translated, it’s a little sexist, and the characters' motivations are all over the map. There’s literally a segment in this game where you need to cross a river, so you hold the joystick to the left for over a minute while he slowly turns a crank. This happens multiple times. The most engaging moment of the whole thing is a long and laborious multi-part fetch quest.

Highly Likely is a short and light-hearted point-and-click game that is set in a rural Ukraine and follows a man named Mikola as he tries to get himself out of an enormous debt that he owes to the bank. He finds himself a new business opportunity, one that is risky and could land him in trouble with the law, but he knows that he’s got no other choice. This is the basic story premise that is very relatable and could happen to just about anyone.

Modest Hero

Modest Hero

Slow short game. Mildly interesting. Prolly should be $3-5 not $10.

Real player with 39.4 hrs in game

Upsides:

Surprising ending that brings a smile to your face

Appropriate sounds and music for each chapter

Nice aesthetics

Easy-to-learn controls

Not a lot of replayability

Downsides:

The end is not a happy ending

Some chapters can be hard, repetitive and nerve-wracking. I even found one a bit scary at times.

Conclusion:

Overall, the game is interesting and well-made, however, I felt that it is too expensive where I live. Since the price of this game can change depending on where you live, I would advise any potential buyers to check whether such a game might interest you, and if so, whether or not you think that it is worth the price.

Ms.Director

Ms.Director

Ms. Director is a game I can’t give justice to in just words. Either by my terrible writing skills or by repeating what others have said. Yet I can say that Ms. Director is one of the best RPGmaker-style games I have played in a very long time. It succeeds with the good ol’ cliche 2D horror game formula, but feels like a refreshing new experience in the RPGmaker-style genre. Either by well-written characters, fantastic links to LGBTQ+ Hollywood history, or fantastic music.

My final words about this game being a wonderful and beautiful small indie game that has been clearly made with passion and creativity. True love, research and time went into making this and it shines with it. It’s got the typical growing pains and teething problems of being a first major RPGmaker project, but those will eventually go away when the developer learns more and grows from mistakes. Ms. Director is a game I can’t recommend enough. Just writing this review isn’t even doing it justice.

I found this game through a friend on twitter, and saw that it was an indie horror title. I went and played it, not knowing what to expect, and fell in love with the characters, art style, puns, and presentation. It’s a really solid title, with a lot of thought put into it. It is a bit short, and there are a few text errors, but it’s pretty easy to miss when you are focused on all the weird stuff happening in the mansion. I’m looking forward to seeing what sketchy nonsense puts out next.

I bought this game on apr 6 and just got around to playing it. The controls are fine its just that you get stuck on almost all the objects and when I made it to lvl 2 or the woods area.. I couldn’t interact with any of the intractable objects. So I tried to reboot the game and my PC to no a vale. Overall if my game actually worked I would rate this a 6-10 just because it looks so cool with all the robots and the Wall-E type of feel I got from it, but it just sucks that my game got stuck like that. So if you plan to buy it just take this into account. Peace and love to the developers.

Interesting art style and concept however the finished package that’s delivered for us to play is not fully developed and comes off as a bit bland. Not worth playing. Also, really should have picked a more unique name so it can even show up in the Steam search. Only reason why I found it was because of a direct link in a random discussion somewhere.

Behind the Horizon

Behind the Horizon

I’ve been enjoying this game a lot. It has quests, farming, animals, magic, crafting etc. You get to explore a pretty big world and meet the villagers. The scenery is very pretty and it has seasons. It is a very unique game. The developer has answered questions, taken in feedback and suggestions and fixed bugs rather quickly. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone.

This is a great game.. The developer is VERY responsive and open to new ideas. and they any fix issues quickly.

Its a farming game BUT don’t expect Stardew Valley, although it has a somewhat similar loop. IE farming, explore ect, although with a “Nature” theme..

Progression can be slow at times, but blossoms after chapter 1..

Make sure you read the help F1 as it explains your tools. Use the MAP.. to keep track of possible resources.

Dark and Bright

Dark and Bright

In Dark and Bright you play Gourchweasel and his friends and you help them to find out more about that weird world they’re travelling through. The game combines some RPG elements with arcade or puzzle elements, but all in all it is a story-driven game with a focus on what’s happening to the four friends in that abstract world.

And that’s what I like about the game the most - the story is good! Really. I enjoyed it a lot, also a lot more than in some other, bigger and well-known RPGs. The game does a great job in telling the player the right amount of information (or only vague hints in the beginning) so that I was always interested in how the story continues. It all starts with a mysterious cutscene about two unknown characters at a bonfire - then we’re following Grouchweasel on his journey. And that journey is weird, confusing, but interesting and also thrilling at the same time. There are many things that made me enjoy it so much - things happening again with small changes to the dialogues, the memories becoming more and more intense as you progress, mysterious characters who sometimes totally confuse you, the whole tone to everything with these simple but weird graphics which fit well to the overall atmosphere. I can’t write more about that without spoilers. Maybe this story will also make you think a little bit about your own life, which I find amazing. So, if you’re a fan of good stories in RPGs - this might be the right game for you!

This is a good game, I enjoy it very much! This game has just a tone to it that makes it feel intense in a way, like you’re playing something funny and weird in the beginning, but you’re well advised to prepare for something big to come. I was thrilled to experience there actually seems to be a deeper meaning behind many of the things that happen. So, after revealing the first memories in the game, I was totally into the story and I’m excited for the outcome of everything, and the fates of the lovely written characters. Totally recommend!

Imperivm RTC - HD Edition “Great Battles of Rome”

Imperivm RTC - HD Edition “Great Battles of Rome”

This game has been out since 2005. The game concept is really good, you fight to conquer the map in real-time against your opponents in different modes from 1v1 to 4v4. You can also play against the IA, but it is so limited, after 5 hours you have already completed the adventures and scenarios that the game offers. The core of this game is the online mode. You can play with friends, members of the community, and even in tournaments organized by the community (the last one had $1200 in prizes). Sadly after the community gathered $74,000 (63,200 euros) through Kickstarter for the game developer to release the game through Steam and for them to FIX THE MULTIPLAYER, they released the game as it was, without any changes in the multiplayer. They promised to put some dedicated servers for the game, a matchmaking system, and even a small ranking system for the community, but they never did. Today you CAN’T PLAY ONLINE without the game lagging for 10 seconds every 5 minutes. The online experience is horrible and you can barely find players due to that issue.

Imperivm III is one of my childhood games and, in all seriousness, my favourite game ever.

The amount of hours I’ve spent on the game, playing online with friends and fighting in clan wars with one of the most active and dedicated communities I’ve ever seen, can only barely be summarized by my current playtime stated on steam.

Hence, you may ask, “Why are you negatively reviewing your favourite game?” in order to understand that, one must understand that this game, in the current state, presents a dissonance between the developer’s will and ideas, and the dedicated playerbase’s own ideas.

Jewel Match Twilight 3 Collector’s Edition

Nice and relaxing game with pretty visuals and good audio design. Very addictive.

Real player with 41.9 hrs in game

This is a great take on the classic match 3 game. They really upped the ante by making the player go back and forth between rooms, find a key in one room then go back to a previous room and finish it off. It’s like a puzzle. The focus is not on matching a certain number of a specific color match item but matching stuff in order to get special items to fall off the bottom of the board, which can be difficult at times. Sometimes there are chained tiles that have to be matched first to remove the chains and usually one of the special items is on top of a lot of chained tiles. But thankfully there are magic spells you can buy and one of them removes chains in a certain sized area, which can be upgraded by paying more money. There is also my favorite: the bomb! I used that more than any of the other items you can buy. Some of them I didn’t even bother with. You gain the magic to use the spells by matching 4. Sometimes you get a vial of magic power, sometimes a coin, sometimes an arrow that goes up or across and eliminates all tokens in it’s way.
