Everhood
Play Everhood!! (and nominate the game for best soundtrack!)
–——-
How did this slip my radar?
How are none of my friends talking about this game?
Every year if I am lucky I come across a game so good I wish I could go back in time just to play it for the first time again - and that game always becomes by Game of The Year. That game for me this year is Everhood. And I knew that within 30 minutes of playing the game. I’m nominating the game for Best Soundtrack – cause the OST is amazing and I feel it has a better chance of winning a nomination in that category but it was hard not to vote it as GOTY just from my personal experience with the game.

Everhood is probably one of my favorite games I’ve played this year!! I’m nominating it for best soundtrack because oh my god. There is not one song in this game’s OST that I actively dislike.
The character design and writing is SO good and I found myself liking almost every single one I’ve encountered.
This game can be so weird and funny but at the same time I’ve cried just thinking about the ending!!!
It’s just… REALLY good, I can’t think of much else to say. Putting things into words is really hard for me, but I hope this got my feelings across well.

Dropsy
An astonishingly beautiful game.
I love this game, from the demented character designs, to the awesome jazz soundtrack, and the unique open world adventure game concept. The four playable characters (dropsy, his dog, the bird, and the mouse), are all really cool, and interesting companions, each with their own character specific abilities.
So many of the gameplay mechanics are unique, and surprisingly enough they’re implemented in a way that close to perfect. Some specific examples of said mechanics are the interesting non verbal clues the characters give you, as well as the different character, and team specific puzzles available.

If you’re a fan of point and click adventure games Dropsy is a must have! I would highly recommend this colorful hugventure to anyone who is a fan of the genre.
At a frist glance this game may look quite strange with an even stranger protagonist, but over time Dropsy the clown will grow on you, and you’ll find that despite his looks he’s just a lovable person that wants nothing more but to help. The more I played, the more I found a place in my heart for the misunderstood clown. It’s the kind of game that really teaches that looks can be deceiving, and really follows an overall theme of acceptence of others no matter what walk of life they come from, as Dropsy wanders about trying to hug as many people as possible.

Freedom Planet
Score
✰90%✰
Pros
~Bright, vivid visuals
~Worthy soundtrack
~Genius level design
~Consistently fun throughout
Cons
~Uneven difficulty balance
~Mixed bag plot/voice acting
Freedom Planet came about as the result of a Sonic the Hedgehog fan game coming to the realisation that it could probably be sold for actual money if it dropped references to Sega’s intellectual property and threw in some “original” characters instead.
And by “original,” I mean original in the Sonic the Hedgehog original character sense.

With the release of Sonic Mania, i feel that it is time to talk about this wonderful game.
“What is Freedom Planet?” you may be asking. Freedom Planet was a game that originally was a Sonic The Hedgehog ROM Hack, but after the creators deciding that they could make a unique game out of it, they built a new engine from scratch, removing all the likenesses of sonic, and after they did that, they went to kickstarter to fund the game. After some overwhelming success, they went on to produce and publish the game today, known as Freedom Planet.

Life ed
Life ed it’s not just a game, it’s an unique experience.
In 1437, after closing his eyes, the main character finds himself in somewere completely diferente and out of his time, but somehow he seems to know it.
With the purpose of bringing Fantastic Tales to life without loosing the essence of a game, we present the first game in the series of three playable visual tales, Life ed, which brings the player a reflexive and unique experience.

Genre:
Side-scrolling adventure platformer.
Gameplay:
-
Very cute soulful main character, charming environment, simple yet heartwarming storyline with a bedtime story childhood innocence about it.
-
Chill & joyfull modern-classical Japanese music, relaxing background sounds.
-
Controller supported as well as XBox One controller vibration feedback, clean responsive controls.
- Minimal item interaction, lacking an inventory or skill which would give the game a more engaging experience for the older player, completing via speed-run is recommended.

MOVIT
MOVIT is an abstract puzzle game with a neat original gimmick.
The goal is simple: to move the player’s block to the win block without landing on other blocks.
Levels are apparently sized 9x3. Looks deceive though: the levels are cyclic in north-south coordinate, a property that powers most puzzles in the game.
Be there or be… dead
Landing on any other block will lose the level. Initially, blocks stay still but really soon moving/changing arrow blocks of various kinds are introduced. There are adequate tutorial levels without being called tutorial levels.

There’s a problem where you cannot tell the difference between a covered red and gray block.
When both blocks are covered, they have the same double black outline around them.
So it’s impossible to tell which one’s red that changes or gray that doesn’t change, making it extremely tedious. Unfortunately, the developer doesn’t respond to these problems.
Also, there aren’t many levels and they are all extremely small without variety.
