TERRORHYTHM (TRRT) - Rhythm driven action beat ‘em up!

TERRORHYTHM (TRRT) - Rhythm driven action beat ‘em up!

It pains me to write a negative review for this game, but in its current state, TERRORHYTHM is just not that enjoyable

Don’t get me wrong, being a fan of rhythm games, I like this game and see great potential for it, but there are a couple major issues that prevent me from truly enjoying the game

Messy calibration system

Other reviewers have covered how this feature breaks when you use controllers, but since I’ve never used a controller for this game, I’ll let you read those reviews for more accurate information. However, there is still something else that is rather done poorly.

“Easy to Learn, Hard to Master” game.

First of all, I love the art style!

There was a lot of cool design in the different backgrounds and animation. Also the weapons - (that you’ll get from enemies) - katanas, throwing discs and a giant reaper scythe that looks cool as hell as you slice down enemies).

The music is also brilliant!

Every single track here is big and thumping and geared towards making you want to move. WIthin seconds of starting up the first level, I found myself bopping along in my seat, and that set the tone for every other level.  BTW, you also can add in your own songs.

Unicorns on Unicycles

Unicorns on Unicycles

Received this game for free, and I’ve played it since the beta days. The character designs are quirky and level designs vary a lot. Different maps contain different elements that impacts each round differently (see-saw or underwater map) that encourages player to experiment on their tactics/play styles.

It has sufficient depth despite the straight forward gameplay. Playing against other players/friend is where the main fun lies (despite my losing streak). Some maps are a lot more entertaining and interesting than others. This applies to certain characters as well. The single-player story is pretty simple as well. All in all a simple, fun, & entertaining game.

Child Arms

Child Arms

Inspired by the popular Punch-Out!! and the obscure Neo Geo series Crossed Swords, the arcade-style Child Arms is a game in which you can fight all foes to reach each character’s personalized ending, or you can duke it out in online or local battles. You can also play mini-games and even alter characters’ appearances and behaviours in the color and AI editors.

Child Arms takes place in a 16th century unlike our own, wherein humankind remains youthful far longer, and have accordingly shaped their world differently from ours. As a player, you can select one of 8 fighters from varied backgrounds as they explore their previously-undiscovered world, rising to the challenge of combatants along the way.

Features

  • Large and beautiful 2D hand-drawn sprites and backdrops

  • Arcade ladder with individual endings for all characters

  • Versus mode for both online and local play modes

  • Training modes including practice, tutorials, and character-specific information

  • Various mini-games

  • User-friendly editors for custom color palettes and AI opponents

  • Keyboard and gamepad support

I like ARM. It is a fun game, it wasn’t too easy or too difficult, It was challenging but not frustrating, the controls were easy to learn, music was good, and it’s a good-looking game.

Ultra Space Battle Brawl

Ultra Space Battle Brawl

It’s a fun game.

Might be short for singleplayer, but you can buy it and play multiplayer via Steam Remote Play Together.

The trailer should tell you all you need to know. Pong but also fighters.

So here’s the classic list:

Good things:

(+)Design and Gameplay = quite interesting. Indie games nowadays do mix-and-match genres. Sometimes they don’t work but this one does.

(+) Music = can’t really describe it, it’s just cool sounding.

Important things to know (Neutral points, i guess):

Real player with 11.4 hrs in game

Ultra Space Battle Brawl is ping pong on steroids with story and personality.

Pros

1. Story mode

2. Versus 1v1 or 2v2

Cons

1. Difficulty is pretty high

2. Not Much of content

3. Raden is “Broken” boss character

4. Lack reward after beating story mode

5. No Online Versus

6. Lacks Modes of play

Overall:

Ultra Space Battle Brawl is a interesting game but lack unlockable and extra modes of play and have no online versus.

The game make for a great versus game with friends or family and have a interesting story behind it but fail the replay part in my opinion why? because after you beat the story with all characters and unlock most thing in gallery there not much there after words and yes you can unlock the boss character for versus but he not playable in the story mode.

Compost

Compost

A fun little game that is a mix of tower defense and critter simulation.

There are many various critters in the game with each type having their own behavior and priorities,

some being peaceful, some preying on other types of critters, some plants having different ways to spread, some critters eating specific plants and so on, which makes for a surprising amount of artificial intelligence in the game.

You don’t control anything directly but instead are given power to generate a breeze that gently pushes stuff around.

This is a great game! A retro style with a current social feel! Some things I like about it:

1. It feel like playing one of my arcade machines

2. Who doesnt want their garden to thrive?

3. The game is explained just enough that makes you think about what you need to do in order for your garden to stay healthy

4. While there are not tons of critters/plants/baddies to understand its great fun learning how they all interact and what they do

I really do enjoy playing this game and look forward to the next round of mouse clicking madness! (thank goodness for pause!)

HEDE Game Engine

HEDE Game Engine

Stars received: 2/10

Overview: junk to make even more junk xD

Real player with 5.1 hrs in game

HEDE Game Engine wants to be the next “easy” game maker out there. While it might be easy, it is so extremely flawed and absolutely terrible! Between missing features, glitches, annoying features, and just how lazy this engine is makes this a hard pass!

All you need to know why to avoid this is this posted on the store page.

“At the current state, you can’t make a build of your game. You can play it only inside our game engine."

Let me just say, that some the artwork assets included in this are actually pretty good! No real complaints there, other than there is not a whole lot to pick or choose from. Half of the assets shown in the store page are not in here, so be warned with that… Here’s the thing though. It’s all just repackaged Unity Store Assets. With very little looking you can just find them all there.
