Super Crush KO
It has been said that first impressions are very important. I bought Super Crush KO because it made a great one, and in fact, it does so (almost) all across the board. Before even playing the game, promotional materials demonstrate a cute heroine, an endearing plot about rescuing her cat, and a surreal, saccharine, Lisa Frank-lite visual style that’s so unusual for action games that it alone might make the game stand out from the crowd. Much of that initial impression continued as I began to play, as the game’s base mechanics are rock-solid. As it went on, however, Super Crush KO also demonstrated that first impressions aren’t everything. So while I’m giving this game a thumb up, that’s only because this quick binary rating is required in reviews; read on to determine whether Super Crush KO is for you.

From the studios, Vertex Pop, comes Super Crush KO, a fast-paced, vibrant color brawler side scroller that takes place in a very lively and colorful city in the near future.
The story is not at all the main point of this adventure, however, saving the protagonist’s kitten, by its name Chubbz, can never pass next to anyone. Well, the player plays the role of Karen, an ordinary girl, who was resting in her room with her pet, when suddenly a big explosion echoes over her room. Here comes your rival, Ann. A being from another galaxy looking to find a friend to keep him company. The goal of the player will be to overcome about 20 levels full of enemy robots in search of retrieving their downy friend.

3.5/5
This game is a party brawler akin to “Super Smash Bros” or “Nekketsu Kakutō Densetsu”(NES). The thing I like most about Blast Brawl 2 is that this is one of those games that kicks your ass. It’s one of those game that forces you to “git good”… sorry but ain’t no hand holding here buddy. the first couple of times you play this your gonna get mandhandled for being a noob. You’ve got to spend hours becoming better, mastering the characters, understanding the importance of dodging, when to use special moves, how to set up baddies for a fall etc.. This isn’t some ole button mash… no sir.

Cyberpunch
Incredible art style, I really loved it and it made me decide to play this game.
It’s like serotonin and nostalgia being injected into my brain.
Please add online multiplayer to this game. I want to play with my friends in online mode.

Very cool indie game about fighting in a Streets of Rage style! At times I felt like no more enemies could fit on the screen hehe I really enjoyed the punches and the overall experience.

Aztez
Disclaimer:i received this game for free to make some videos, i’ll link one at the end of this post
Disclaimer 2:this review is focused on the combat and why it’s cool as shit
Aztez is one of the most solid Beat em' Ups i’ve ever played, it does almost everything right
Most of the time when i’m playing action games, i’m thinking “man, why did they do that?, that’s really restrictive”
That doesn’t happen in Aztez, the designers are huge action game fans and they had those same thoughts, as a result Aztez is very tight and fair while still being difficult

It’s been a long time since I’ve been impressed with a game’s combat sysem but holy hell this game is amazing at it. With DMC and Bayonetta seemingly in comatose there’s not much in the way of character action games so colour me surprised when this game released out of seemingly nowhere after not seeing anything since Saurian Dash’s video on it, but it has been worth the wait!
Being able to cancel anything into anything at any time gives the combat amazing depth and flexibility and with 8 total weapons (4 being equippable at any one time) you can combat the game’s nasties with your own sense of style and bloody carnage.

Eight Dragons
It’s still in early access, but this is already one of the best fighting games i have played. It looks and sounds like it is right out of the nineties, my era, like a Streets of Rage game that Sega or the other publishers never got around to making. I really love it for that, and so many other reasons. Its a shame there are not more games of this style.
With One or Two players it is a kind of tactical game where you pick off the enemies as quickly and as efficiently as you can.
You cannot just wade in hammering that fire button. You have really got to think about it. Do i go left first or right first ?

Eight Dragons certainly has already come a long way since it’s first Early Access launch back on April 23, 2019! The team has been actively considering the feedback and constructive criticism provided by the growing community and the game is shaping nicely. At first it was a bit bare minimum, however it was still a solid experience game-play wise. Enemy collisions when thrown into other enemies has improved, Individual unique animations have been reworked for each character, the ability to pick up and throw obstacles is now present, the difficulty has been reworked, new level design elements have been added, and overall game-play mechanics have improved to further expand upon the decently executed engine that was built prior. This game has since seen consistent updates and it looks like it will get better and better as time passes.
