I bought this game on apr 6 and just got around to playing it. The controls are fine its just that you get stuck on almost all the objects and when I made it to lvl 2 or the woods area.. I couldn’t interact with any of the intractable objects. So I tried to reboot the game and my PC to no a vale. Overall if my game actually worked I would rate this a 6-10 just because it looks so cool with all the robots and the Wall-E type of feel I got from it, but it just sucks that my game got stuck like that. So if you plan to buy it just take this into account. Peace and love to the developers.

Interesting art style and concept however the finished package that’s delivered for us to play is not fully developed and comes off as a bit bland. Not worth playing. Also, really should have picked a more unique name so it can even show up in the Steam search. Only reason why I found it was because of a direct link in a random discussion somewhere.

Tale of six

An interesting game with an unusual idea. If you like hard platformers (but you have to be ATTENTIVE, and sometimes you have to think) or you want to try your luck, then this game is for you.

AntVentor

AntVentor

Short version: 71%

AntVentor is a short, cute, and nice-looking adventure, following the Anamita school of wordless storytelling and handcrafted abstract visuals, with an enthusiastic team behind it.

Long version:

AntVentor cannot deny that it took a massive dose of inspiration from Anamita’s Botanicula, down to the same theme of following the life of a very humanlike bug (an ant, in this case), who tries to escape his role in society to follow his dreams. Similarly, it relies entirely on visual storytelling, even including the hint system.

I want to like this point-and-click adventure/puzzle game, but it sure makes it hard. First, the positives: It looks great, with crisp and detailed imagery, and cute ant characters. It reminds me of the excellent style achieved for the game Samorost 3.

Here’s what I DON’T like:

(1) The point-and-click mechanics are clunky. The pointer hand changes when you can do certain things, but often the hand only changes if you’re on the exact spot where you can do something. It leads you to miss puzzle solutions even when you’re on the right track and trying to click the thing that would give you the solution. It also shows you a “walking” hand (fingers moving) for areas where you can’t actually walk.

Very good game, love the ambience and the great art.

Recommended.

The installed .exe has been renamed and Steam didn’t find it in my drive D :

Just copied and renamed the folder “Ignatius - Reunited_Data” to “Ignatius_Data”, and the exe “Ignatius - Reunited.exe” to “Ignatius.exe”, and Steam worked ok (otherwise no played time is registered).

This game is an adorable noir style game with great coloured highlights. The music is creepy, there are puns that are amazing, and the story is sweet.. The game is generally quite easy, BUT, if you move incorrectly can be very unforgiving - but it was worth it and I had a lot of laughs with it.. The design is just beautiful - there are a few spelling errors and jittery bits but in my opinion I put it down to it feeling like an old school movie that used to flicker and for all I know, that’s how its meant to be portrayed.. The enemies aren’t overly hard, it would be easily playable by a younger audience.. It reminds me of other games that I have played such as Machinarium and looks similar to what Limbo looks like - but it was still beautiful regardless..

In Between

In Between

Gentlymad’s In Between may be one of the most engrossing and dark puzzle platformers ever developed. I honestly didn’t believe that a puzzle platformer was supposed to delve deep into the topics of the reason of life and mortality. I thought these games were meant to be played to be fun, for enjoyment, for amusement. Then again that just means that I didn’t learn this lesson after playing Sym. Of course, Sym’s message was different – that game provided an insight into the experience of social anxiety disorder – but both games successfully hit a tone that makes you think about the topic at hand as well, if not better, than other mediums are able to. I am certain that both lessons will stick with me for a long time after having played both.

Saw this game being examined by Extra Credits, and had to experience it for myself. Much detail was put into this game, but there were a few design choices that seemed lacking.

When I look at a level menu I expect 3 things usually associated with icons and/or a text blurb:

  1. The Name of the Level.

  2. Has the player reached the endpoint?

  3. Has the player found the all the secrets?

However what I got was:

  1. A layout of the map to memorize

  2. A filled inner circle once the player reached level endpoint

Wenjia

Wenjia

Wenjia is a 2D platform game which takes you through the beautiful scenery of two realms, Matter and Energy, along with a great soundtrack brought to you by DilemmaStudio-困境游戏

The realm of Matter has been here since the beginning of time, but hidden behind this realm lies another, where amazing creatures can be found. The Energy realm beckons you and all you must do is remove the veil of illusion. You play as Wenjia, and like other creatures that have evolved in the Energy world, you are matter-less; a sentient being of pure energy in the form of a cat, who can travel freely between the two worlds of Matter and Energy.

Not only is this game adorable and beautiful to look at, it also plays great too. This is easily in my top platformers list.

It sort of reminded me of The Lion King for a variety of reasons, the way in which the cat jumps, the difficulty and the trial and error, at least you don’t run out of lives on this though. On my first playthrough, I racked up 522 deaths, I’m going to attempt to get the under 5 deaths achievement but I’d say it seems unlikely, it’s not overly hard though, don’t get me wrong, I spent 4 hours playing and completed the game with the majority of orbs collected. It’s just not easy is what I’m saying, which I’m sure platformer game fans will love.

League Of Enthusiastic Losers

League Of Enthusiastic Losers

Sweet visual style, but nothing more. I’ve expected a good plot but it’s quite simple (not in a good way) with weak structure, characters flat. Sometimes boring. Vibe is nice.

Sometimes there are glitches here and there.

A thoughtful sound design could power up this game.

Pill Puzzle one move is more difficult than the first game, when I bought it I thought I wouldn’t be able to pass the first 10 stages, but I managed it calmly… After stage 21 it became more difficult, the game has the same design as the first Pill Puzzle, simple and minimalist, and I also liked the new music. In summary it is a challenging game.
