Warpips

Warpips

Just the right amount of challenge so far in the early access version. Warpips has this odd mix of classic Command & Conquer nostalgia with the soundtrack and faux PS1 graphics while being its own style of game. The quasi hands off combat still has me managing multiple things at once and every playthrough is an absolute blast. I find myself coming back to it a lot to either spend a few minutes while waiting on something or spending hours just burning through the campaign yet again. Definitely worth a pickup if you’ve ever touched an RTS from the 90’s or early 2000’s.

World War 2 Craft (二战演义)

The levels do not seem to have a reasonable difficulty. The first mission is nearly impossible to complete with the forces given before one of the three bridges explode. However, game has a lot of potential if some UI and balancing fixes are made.

Zombie Freaks

Zombie Freaks

I want to be playing on gamepad.

Zombie Freaks is an RGM title, which may be a turn off to some, but it’s done well.

I’m currently at the half way mark, and the variety of enemies, environments and weapons, has been great. Wolves, rats, an array of different zombies and soldiers. As for weapons, you start with a knife and soon pick up a pistol. From there you will find a shotgun, uzi, revolver and an AK (although I haven’t found that just yet). The art here is brilliant, right down to the textures, the detail is great.

The music fits nicely and is rather catchy, with an ’80s synthwave like soundtrack, you can’t go wrong. There are also some cheesy one liners that add a nice touch and thankfully, they’re not over done.

BE-A Walker

BE-A Walker

Be warned, im gonna include a few spoilers here and there in the review, if you dont want to see them, skip this review

I saw some gameplay from a youtuber and i was immediatly attached to this game, i played the demo and had a ton of fun, even just being 2 missions, it was still very fun (but i did have my problems with the overheating, however it has been fixed with the patch so i guess it can slide) i did have my problems with the walking since it had a QWOP feeling but i learned it after a bit and slowly started to master it and it wasnt that bad to learn.

BE-A Walker is a sidescrolling re-enactment of the plot of James Cameron’s Avatar. You pilot a bipedal mech across the surface of an alien planet blasting and stomping on the natives as you go. Except you do that exact same thing…. repeatedly. For the whole game.

This game is definitely fun for a bit, but every mission is pretty much the same, broken up occasionally with a ‘walk through the base without stepping on the blind scientists’ mission or ‘walk through a minefield’ mission, which mostly just slow the game down, without improving it much.

Epidemyc

Epidemyc

This is a strategy tower defense game, you must protect seven rows against monsters by putting soldiers in each row. The player must choose between buying defensive structures, attack soldiers, or mining. As the game progresses, special and aid units are unlocked, also the enemies are upgraded in their variety. It is a very entertaining game where you do not pay to win, it does not require internet, it is not too long (infinite), it is complete and contains unlockable elements.

History: A war between the north and south zones forced all retired soldiers to return to service, Colonel Steve among them. Steve has a special mission within his own territory, and this is to recover the containers from laboratory 3. This would be a simple mission if it weren’t for the fact that he must confront the biological weapons that the enemy used in the city and the scarce resources assigned to him. Will he be able to overcome all obstacles? It depends on you.

Your game overall is really fun! i didn’t have time to play it with my friends but even just playing against the bots on multiplayer / campaign was fun! I have a few suggestions: Improve the AI a bit sometimes when i played multiplayer against they wouldn’t fight each other at all. Maybe add like armor or that is like an extra health bar or something. Bigger maps would be good the maps now are a bit too small imo and can get a bit to chaotic. But yeah overall really fun game.

My Memory of Us

My Memory of Us

A beautiful game. Not much in terms of gameplay, (I was able to 100% it within 10 hours), but completely worth it for the story and the art. I love how, despite being a WWII story with it’s fair share of dark and sad moments, there’s so much adventure that it felt like I was experiencing an interactive children’s book. Especially with how well the art, music, and narration is done.

Despite being an unrealistic story (with a robot army,

! giant robots, and even a floating bathtub fight with a giant robot fish!? , this game manages to create a unique and fun experience without trivializing the darker sides of war and the effects it has on people’s lives. I went into this game completely blind, not even knowing it was about WWII until a few chapters in, so the realization of what was really happening hit that much harder for me, especially since up until that point, it was just a boy and a girl having fun and then hiding from robots. And it’s really easy to get attached to these characters and feel what they are going through, despite the fact that none of the characters actually speak, except for the narrator between chapters.

The highlight of the game is the story. It’s a bittersweet tale that will play with your emotions throughout, and even though the subject matter is horrific it still manages to entertain and lift your spirits.

The artwork is adorable and charming. The music is absolutely on point for setting the tone and atmosphere. The story has a good level of intrigue with compelling characters. The game play is challenging which made completing the game feel all the more rewarding.

Coffee? Tea? or perhaps Melee?

In 3HG’s most ambitious project to date, Sovereign Tea offers a unique Tactical Strategy adventure with a focus on unit-to-unit combat and resource management. Whether you’re new to the genre or a seasoned veteran, this game will present a stimulating blend of challenge and catharsis to your experience. The tutorial is intuitive and the first levels offer plenty of room to catch and correct mistakes. There’s even a hint function before each skirmish. However, out of pride, I didn’t really check it. That is, until around the end of the game. Much to my surprise, they weren’t step-for-step guides, but little details to keep in mind that may inspire a new strategy. There were a couple of instances where I knew I had a winning strategy, but I needed to grind through a some extra turns to yield results. Luckily, battles can be revisited (reenacted?) and if I were so inclined, I could try new loadouts or beat my turn record. The characters are written with such detail, they practically read with their own voice. It was fun hearing about a character and speculating how they’d behave or interact with others when they’re finally introduced (based on what I know about their namesake).
