Quite a neat little adventure thing, with ample help for the player if you risk getting stuck (as I often am, not being the greatest fan of the genre)

Three Pigeons in a Trench Coat

Three Pigeons in a Trench Coat

Our story begins with a very good looking pigeon with an amazing name, who’s dream is to act in the great theater that they live in. With the help of a lovely human, a fluffy pigeon and a questionably french bird, they create the perfect human disguise: a trench coat. Heigh-ho, hey-ho! Alas, suddenly, the world ends! Zounds! Bazinga! Yeet! All hope is lost! But, in the nick of time, a figure approaches this spectacular pigeon with an offer. Would you like to try again?

Three Pigeons in a Trench Coat is a fast paced, action, adventure game, where you try to find out what ends the world and stop it before the world ends again five minutes later. And if you fail? Just try again!

Sine Mora EX

Sine Mora EX

What I can appreciate about Sine Mora is how the central plot element becomes the central game mechanic in a very fluid and innovative way. Sine Mora is a game about time control, and its central game mechanic is that you never lose health, but time. If you take damage, that’s time off the clock. If you kill enemies, that’s time added to the clock. You are essentially invincible, but lose powerups and the game if you ever get hurt enough times that you run out the clock. A clock that is always ticking down, but either gains or loses time as a penalty or reward in combat.

While it may be a unique take on the bullet hell formula, Sine Mora’s attempts at being its own thing put it at odds with the notion of being well balanced, and it ultimately ends up flawed to the point that it’s an active struggle to enjoy.

To start off by giving praise where it’s due, the game is gorgeous, the soundtrack is high-quality, the controls are mostly fluid, the story has some really cool twists, the boss design is fab, and the Hungarian voice acting is pretty dope (no idea about the English, as I switched to the original voice track from the get-go).

The Alchemist Alekki

The Alchemist Alekki

This is a game about running a potion shop and saving time!

The young alchemist known as Alekki has been accused of a crime she swears she didn’t commit! Supposedly, she has created a potion that ripped apart time and caused different parts of time to merge together! You must now help her create potions to save time!

These time-warped areas are teeming with echoes of their respective time zones. Equip yourself with a variety of weapons that will be progressively unlocked throughout the game and defeat the echoes to gather potion ingredients.

Use the ingredients elemental properties to mix a potion with specific qualities that the customer wants. This is a quick and easy way of getting money quickly.

Another way is to set up shop and create specific potions for your store to house. Simply mix 2 ingredients together and then set your target audience and price. Depending on what you put the potion will have a different end price and sell chance!

You will sometimes get request potions that will give you recipes for potions you can use in the Time-Warped areas to your advantage, for example a potion that increases your damage or makes you invincible for a short duration.

Travel through a variety of interesting environments and fight different enemies throughout various periods of time. See how these time periods interact and uncover the truth behind the cause of all of this!

Soundodger 2

Soundodger 2

Already I can see how much work has been put into this game- and it is a major step up from the flash version. It works amazingly, plays good, and most importantly: shows some very promising music. I recommend you check this out, and play through it.

I’m so excited to see the future of this game.

basically Soundodger+ but with a few very good changes:

  • it’s way smoother

  • additional tiny animations

  • 3 new cool bullets

  • more cool options for the bullet object

  • 10 different layers instead of one

  • prefabs

  • bpm snap

  • literally seven new effects

  • cool backgrounds and large theme creativity

  • player settings (which is cool for challenges)

  • overall less limits

and I like all of these additions!

Score a goal (Physical football)

Score a goal (Physical football)

A good game of logic, allows you to relax between work, but not lose strength and concentration. Also, this game has a sequel, which is also quite good. The game has several mechanics similar to the “save jesus” game. Pretty good physics, with which you can go through the game in various ways. In general, it is recommended to purchase

Textbook-assetflip; enough said.

This game is some weird german football adaption of the game Angry Birds: you hit several objects and obstacles and… well… score a goal. Needless to say that this game is entirely built with Unity assets.

There is not much more to say about this game. There was no real effort in building something enjoyable at least from my point of view.

Physical impressions:

The Graphics:

Not worth mentioning basically because there is no viewable work by the developer(s). Everything is Unity.

SOULBOUND

SOULBOUND

For starters, this is quite a linear platformer, not a metroidvania.

There big checkpoints indicating a shift in the “level” and sometimes mini checkpoints which you can get a save point. The goal is to collect three “souls” which act as keys for the next level. Without them, you can’t move on. So within the level you must pick up the souls and come back to the exit to move on.

There are no permanent upgrades. Just “powerups” to pick up with one time use like double jump. The problem lies with the time rewind power up. There was hardly a tutorial on it and when it expects you to use it, it expects you to use it the right way. If not, it doesn’t respawn again and your only option is suicide and restart from the checkpoint.
