Great reverse tower defense game. Easy to get hooked!

Single-player is fun, but multiplayer up to 8 players over LAN (but can fill in bots with different difficulties if you’d like) means I can blow up my buddy’s armies from afar.

Make lots of armies, blow up the other guys' armies, make bigger armies, and conquer. Multiple factions and individualized talent trees allows versatility in playstyle and adds a lot of depth to the game. 5/5.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a heart-warming tale about how even a woman who spent ten years in a coma can get up and be in better shape than you are.

You play as Miriam, a walking fashion disaster. A bunch of alchemists performed evil mad science on her, giving her a host of strange and unnatural powers. Chief among these is the ability to grow stronger and healthier simply through the power of diet and exercise. She can also bind demon souls to her body to gain magic powers, but this is par for the course in games like these. Together with her personal trainer Johannes, they seek to convince an old friend to go back to the good old days of loving his body, again, and save him from his toxic, unrealistic body standard girlfriend.

I’ve played almost 50 hrs and got all the achievements, so lemme tell ya

This game is one of best metroidvenia i’ve played.. however, story-wise it’s normal.

The controls and movements ain’t as smooth as other 2D games, but ti works fine

There are a variety of weapons, armors, skills and shards to use and upgrade.

The game is full of castlevenia references but the story-line has nothing to do with it,

I got the game on a discount, so i will suggest you wait for a discount before paying full price

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate HD

MIRROR OF FATE REVIEW

Welcome, again, to another instance of Steam Library reviews by Oniell Ford! (Never mind the altered name and avatar. It’ll go back to normal in due time.) As usual, the blacked-out areas of the review are spoilers, so avoid them if you want to experience the thrills of the game yourself.

This time, we’ll be reviewing “Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD”, the second installment in Mercury Steam’s “Lords of Shadow” trilogy. As many of you know, my review for the previous “Lords of Shadow” installment was pretty negative. Unlike LoS 1 and 2, Mirror of Fate turned out to be a much better game. Without further ado, THE REVIEW!

Real player with 56.8 hrs in game

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow: Mirror of Fate is the second game in the Lords of Shadow Trilogy. After I played the first game- which I found to be a great first step albeit not without some noticeable flaws- I was looking forward to playing its sequels. And when I got to Mirror of Fate, it did not disappoint.

Whereas the first Lords of Shadow was primarily a hack and slash beat ‘em up with Prince of Persia style platforming, Mirror of Fate combines the combat of the first Lords of Shadow, the platforming of the original Castlevania, and the exploration of the Symphony of the Night-style Metroidvanias, mixing them all together to form a playstyle all its own.

Azuran Tales: Trials

Azuran Tales: Trials

Nice sidescrolllng dungeon crawler!

I have got thru about 5 or 6 levels so far, and I may come to regret saying this, but I don’t find it as hard as some of the other reviewers, and I am no Platforming Master. Many platformers, like Cuphead, Hallow Knight or SuperMeatboy are too hard for me. I would call Azuran Tales a Platformer-Lite, but the combat is challenging enough.

Some of the bosses are very tough; one in particular is a Mage who kept throwing ranged spells. I tried to dodge them and then get in my whacks when I could, but the spells just kept stacking up. After probably 15 failures, I tried a new tactic and that was go toe to toe with him. He could still throw spells but not as many and after another 10 tries I beat him. That may sound like a lot of deaths but not that crazy for a Souls-like game. In this game there is a save point right before the bosses, who may wipe me out in less than a minute, but I can go right back at em in a few seconds.

This game was alot of small twist in platforming games and a good amount of challenges. I wasn’t some god or op character which made me focus on the game alot more. loot was distrubited fairly and it made explore the area finding new things which was cool. The level up system was okay and I’m not sure if it had any effect on my character. It got buggy when i wasn’t able to damage to goblins that applied the slowing condition on me out of nowhere and the my attack animation wasn’t as fast as i though it would be. Most of the monsters could tank damage which I thought i could stagger them, and basic monster can one or two shot you. Monster placement was not to my liking as well as i could not get to a portal without a mob ganging up on me or two golems camping by a gate i needed to open to progress. how ever This is fun and i can’t for the imporvements to be made

Diluvian Ultra

Diluvian Ultra

In Diluvian Ultra you play as Atilla, an undead king that is awakened in deep space, aboard his tomb, ship by an invasion of unknown enemies. He must fight to prevent them from stealing his most sacred object: The Book of Life. Without the book, Attila’s order can’t revive the long-dead human species.

The spaceship is a living combination of flesh and stone, teeming with creatures created to serve a purpose aboard the ship. Even the doors are alive.

Diluvian Ultra is built around a damage system where you have to combine weapons to be effective. Armor negates most damage, but some weapons are designed to damage only the armor itself, setting the victim up for a lethal blow. The player has to be careful, as enemies will combine their attacks in the same way. Armor damage cannot kill you, but take too much and a single well-placed lethal attack will kill you in one hit.

Combat in Diluvian Ultra is all about mobility. Dodge enemy fire, while you chain together ranged attacks with close combat blows and devastating ground slams to interrupt and stun your enemies.

The weapons range from living insect guns, to plasma spewing shotguns. Each has a unique special reload function, like healing armor damage or turning the magazine into a grenade.
