PAW Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay

PAW Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay

4 year old paw patrol fan is enjoying it. It has the paw paw boogie, minigames from the missions are available to be replayed from the menu, all missions are cooperative (both characters are needed to complete them but both characters are also playable from one controller by changing them, kind of like Lego games, in case you are playing single). Overall fun game to enjoy with our kids :)

Keep in mind the second player can join after completing a bit of a tutorial from the first mission. Then second player press start and joins.

sometimes the dialogue has to be skipped with pressing “A”, and sometimes you just have to wait.

at the end of every mission you have to press “Y” to continue, and then “A” from there on out. ridiculous.

they can probably get away with making such a terrible game because they know there’s no other paw patrol games out there.

Kombi Travels - Jigsaw Landscapes

I really enjoyed playing this game. Since jigsaw games is something I like playing that helps me feel relaxed. And very helpful when my mental health isn’t feeling good.

Shark Castle

Shark Castle

I like the premise, but the execution is pretty bad.

The starting area works well enough, with only minor hiccups. It’s when you go to the areas not shown in the demo, & especially outside the castle, that the game’s stability takes a nosedive. I found myself swimming in the air on more than one occasion in the gardens. I also noticed my snail count kept increasing & decreasing on it’s own, while the bush travelling behaviour is erratic & inconstant with the rest of the game. Frankly, it goes on, but I’d rather not.

Skellboy Refractured

Skellboy Refractured

Skellboy’s an adventure game that wears it’s nostalgia on its sleeve and it’s not afraid to show it, from some of its classic Zelda like mechanics to it’s Paper Mario visual style. All coming to make a super fun gaming experience. You play as a protagonist named Skippy, a skeleton brought back to life looking to dish out justice to the evils roaming the land and to stop the malevolent wizard from destroying the world.

Gameplay

Skellboy is a top down 2.5D game where you hack, slash and bash a variety of enemies and bosses utilizing a pretty hefty amount of weapons types and styles at your disposal. From weapons that can hex your enemies to weapons that slow down time or if you’re feeling like a true anime protagonist you can whip out the giant buster sword, cutting enemies into two with one swipe. Since you are a Skeleton you are able to swap your body parts out for different armor, shirts, helmets, heck you can use other enemy’s body parts if you like. A lot of the interchangeable parts can have unique abilities and set bonuses.

So i’m reviewing this game for two reasons. One cause I am fully loving it so far. Very fun game reminiscent of 3D dot Heroes. I’m 2 hours in and it doesn’t seem like i’m very far in it at all. Lots of body part swapping to be had here XD

Second reason i’m posting this is because one negative review here really annoyed me for someone who it lists barely touched the game at .3 hours and the fact you cannot compare a new indie game to old triple A games that are lower priced cause they are old. I played many of those games and this game is also well worth your time so far if you like old school Zelda games or games like 3D dot Heroes. The price definitely seems worth it.

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair

7 / 10 (Critical) - Ridiculously underrated 2.5D platformer.

People compare this to DKC:Tropical Freeze and they’re right to do so as it’s very similar, including familiar composers, but it doesn’t quite have the budget of Tropical Freeze.

Better than the first YL game overall.

A blind 100% playthrough takes around 20-30+ hours_(in-game file time doesn’t match)_

Interesting & refreshing overworld progression with many puzzles.

5 Hidden coins to find in each level, and there are 40 levels excluding the Impossible Lair.

Real player with 939.7 hrs in game

A solid platformer. Controls are responsive and there’s a nice variety of settings and stage hazards in the 40 (20 stages and 20 “alternate states” if you want to be specific) sidescrolling stages. A few specific things help it stand out though.

The top-down overworld is the first of the game’s Big Ideas. This overworld has you solving a bunch of simple puzzles between platforming stages, these puzzles shouldn’t give anybody much trouble but they’re quick and it helps pace things out. On the overworld tonics can be found, three of which you can equip before a stage, some have gameplay utility but most are just mildly amusing visual effects/filters that sometimes make the game barely playable (good luck seeing anything with GameBoy resolution filter), which takes some satisfaction out of finding secrets.

My Father My Son

My Father My Son

Only cooperation can save them

Together with two lost castaways, a father, and son, experience a thrilling journey through a dark, uninhabited island that isn’t on the map. Overcome a path full of logic puzzles and hidden dangers and help the family get closer to each other. Escape from this mysterious place and discover together with the characters what’s hidden here.

Control two characters alone or in co-op (1 player - 1 character), using either a pad or the keyboard. You can change the control method at any time. Move along 2 paths, changing them freely as needed. Take wise advantage of the differences between the father (strong and high) and the son (small and agile), which will make it easier for the characters to work together on co-op puzzles.
