AntVentor
Short version: 71%
AntVentor is a short, cute, and nice-looking adventure, following the Anamita school of wordless storytelling and handcrafted abstract visuals, with an enthusiastic team behind it.
Long version:
AntVentor cannot deny that it took a massive dose of inspiration from Anamita’s Botanicula, down to the same theme of following the life of a very humanlike bug (an ant, in this case), who tries to escape his role in society to follow his dreams. Similarly, it relies entirely on visual storytelling, even including the hint system.

I want to like this point-and-click adventure/puzzle game, but it sure makes it hard. First, the positives: It looks great, with crisp and detailed imagery, and cute ant characters. It reminds me of the excellent style achieved for the game Samorost 3.
Here’s what I DON’T like:
(1) The point-and-click mechanics are clunky. The pointer hand changes when you can do certain things, but often the hand only changes if you’re on the exact spot where you can do something. It leads you to miss puzzle solutions even when you’re on the right track and trying to click the thing that would give you the solution. It also shows you a “walking” hand (fingers moving) for areas where you can’t actually walk.

Rog & Roll
Rog & Roll is a fast-paced, fluid 2.5D platformer. Control a tiny enemy monster named Rog on a quest to save his fellow minions!
Long ago, enemy monsters were controlled by tyrannical bosses who ordered them to do things like harass humans and kidnap princesses. But the monsters of Rog’s world rejected that system to build a new society - one where spiders, zombies, killer robots, and walking vegetables could all live in peace. When a disgruntled final boss returns to re-enslave his old minions, it’s up to Rog, a plucky low-ranking enemy, to defy all odds and try to free his friends.

Macrotis: A Mother’s Journey
Macrotis: A Mother’s Journey is a delightful journey of a mother Bilby trying to return to her 3 children after being separated from them during a massive flood. It is a fine first effort by Turkish Developers Proud Dinosaurs and has deservedly won some awards.
The raging waters carried Mrs Bilby deep underground and during her journey she meets a wizard who is willing to help her return home. However, they have to stop the rain first. Through supernatural powers endowed to her, she is able to leave her body and move through walls with her spirit self. It makes for interesting gameplay. She is able to push stones, eat roots, dig through walls and create walls…..aside from being an acrobatic jumper.

I didn’t know much about this game when I first got it other than it was a game about a mama trying to find her lost babies. Low and behold, the first thing you notice is beautifully rendered scenery, followed by a delicately illustrated storyboard. The story itself is described quite fully and efficiently. As you begin the journey, the in-play tutorials are subtle and simple delicately integrated with the simple puzzles the game play leads directly into. As you progress, the puzzles increase in complexity as well as size. Failing at a particular scenario can be heartbreaking, but have no fear, there’s plenty of automatic save points. If you were taken back by the fantastic artwork prepare to be blown away by the exquisite scenes that lead into crossing story lines. The reflective light, depth, volume, and changing hues of the surroundings is awe inspiring. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone, it is all around, a beautiful little gem of a game. I smiled ear to ear, laughed, was sad, and even determined playing this game.

Marfusha
Girls' Frontline meets shoot-em-up
One morning I was looking at new releases at Steam. Usually I don’t find something interesting, but for some reason Marfusha has caught my attention. I briefly looked at screenshots and without a second thought bought Marfusha.
And you know what? Marfusha turned up to be a great game!
The gameplay is simple but heavily addicting. You are playing as Marfusha, a girl who drafted into the army since the country Kazolmya, where she lives is at war with all surrounding countries. Marfusha gets the duty to protect the wall from different robots who try to destroy this wall. Every day you get salary which you can spend on cards and, of course, paying taxes, which becomes more and more expensive. There are different types of cards, some will increase your stats, some will give you a weapon(which can break so you’ll have to buy a new one, keep that in mind), some will give you useful items like mines or barricades.

”To protect homeland and someone you loved, what did it costs?”
Molten Iron: Marfusha is an indie project I’ve been following creator/artist for a while and impressed how something simple can be so enjoyable despite some flaws. A 2.5D tower defense shooter game developed by one person named hinyari9.
This review is based on version 1.0.0.3. It contains subjective opinion and partial spoiler.
The World with No Exception
Game title is based on young bakery clerk; Marfusha who is drafted as a border guard due to trooper shortage. Marfusha has no choice but to obey the order and survive to reunite with her younger sister again.

Indie developers from Indonesia may be a minority, but they are definitely on the rise! Take the Dreadout franchise or the recent demo Who Is He: Let Me Out- and what’s one thing they got in common? HORROR!!! Gamecom Team’s A Day Without Me (ADW) is yet another! The dev’s portfolio includes having worked on the mobile game Babol, with a Crash-Bash likeness but as an animate box and Parakacuk, a gang-based brawler set in a school!

Opportunities often happens in our lives. It may be a big deal or just a tiny spec.
In this story you start as Xiao Su, a relative of Li Jiayun. Su then recieves a package of what may it seems like a diary of Jiayun. Investigating, Su realized that Jiayun had passed away. Soon later a man knocked by Su’s doorstep and introduced himself as Wei Qiuwu, the main protagonist of this story. He then tells Su about his relationship with Li Jiayun and the reason to trust him. Updated English version for my dude:)
It happened one year before Shan Gui.
This work introduces the warm daily life of Hejia, and Jiayun who’d become the four sister of the He family. The scenery in Nanjing is as awesome as ever.
Six main options, three branches, the farewell of Jia Yun, the fantasy world of He Jia, the deep love of Yang Qin.
All the plots are about the embarrassment of the Jiayun diary. At the beginning, the news of the death of Jia Yun was revealed. After three routes, the peaks and turns, this is actually a warm story tells friendship and family-ship between the girls.

Combo Babies
100% one of the most unique fighting games, if you love anime fighters like guilty gear and want a unique (and interestingly balanced) take on a lot of systems this game is a great one to look at

A really fun fighting game that I highly recommend. The training mode is easy to use and have fun, rhythm game inspired combo trials. All of the characters feel really good to play as and the universal inputs for each character make picking any of them up easy. The inclusion of mechanics such as roman cancels is really cool and the movement almost feels like you’re in a platform fighter. If you have a spare $10 and like fighting games there’s no reason not to pick this game up.

Half Past Fate: Romantic Distancing
Got this game with a small rebate (about 4$ US) ,i loved the subject,with everything going on right now,i decide to give it a shot.I find in easy to relate to Stephen(one of the caracter),also the SNES feel is great,music is nice…remind me of sone NES and SNES music,that bring’s a lot of memories.It’s not a dating sim per say,it’s more like a story driven game.
This game definitly deserve more attention.If you love story driven games,this is a nice 4 bucks who make you forget your miserable empty life like mine…The only downside,it’s pretty short(just over 90 minutes) and there’s not much of a replay value

Played this after the first Half Past Fate game and caught me off guard how short it is compared the first one. That aside, this spin-off features the same gorgeous art style, good writing, and down to earth and relatable characters. I recommend it if you’ve finished HPF and want to explore some other aspects of the world and get to know more characters.
Also, we never learned what our resident himbo’s occupation is :( ..

A Snake’s Tale
Casual puzzle game, for the most part too easy but fun, harder level would help because for me this game is just a time killer.
Can’t run in full screen mode and awful music are mos def a minus.
Recommend if you are new to puzzle game genre or just want an easy puzzle game with 2 or 3 tricky levels.

I bought A Snake’s Tale out of multiple yearnings at once:
-Despair for a game where I can finally play as a snake- a diagetically-portrayed one, mind you, not just a sequence of squares chasing dots;
-A good puzzle game;
-A growing liking for smaller-project titles due to my chronic inability to afford any of the AAA games or the hardware to run them;
-An eagerness to support a fellow Austinite, and aspiring game creator.
In each of these, I say A Snake’s Tale delivers.

Turns out this game is a great brain-builder. We learn the rules as we go, and the simple ruleset is used to great versatility.
