Hollow Bliss

Hollow Bliss

Your experience in Hollow Bliss depends on your choices, deaths, and consequences. Take control of five high school friends who end up trapped within a dark home, its twisted residents out to get them. As you explore the house, the space changes around you, and how you interact with it and respond to its dangers will make an impact on your chances to make it out alive. Everyone can die, but more than that, the imprint they leave can either benefit or hurt the chances of the others also trying to survive. You’re in a horror scenario, it’s up to you to make your choices of how to get out of the situations you find yourself in.

After the death of his childhood best friend, Chris Lansan struggles to feel normal with his friends, old and new. There was a comic he and his deceased friend were working on before her unfortunate passing, but it was in her possession when she died. He goes with his group of friends; Dustin, Julia, Hailey, and Sarah, to ask his mother if he could take the comic as a memento. After strange hostility from the mother towards Chris, seeing how important this is to Chris, Dustin proposes they sneak in when the mother goes out to find and fetch the comic. When they do so however, they find themselves trapped within the home, and unfortunately not alone.

Hollow Bliss is a gut wrenching 2.5D horror narrative game experience that plays out differently depending on you.

Kasmo is a “template flip”, that is to say, it’s a “game” that has been produced by copying a game template or using a game construction kit, and changing a few things. In this case it was a Unity tutorial/demo for making a basic arcade “missile defense” game.

This is deplorably low quality bundle trash. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, copying a template/using a game construction kit requires no talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. It’s almost as bad as an outright asset flip.

Project Warlock II

Project Warlock II

Palmer - a dedicated disciple of Warlock wakes up in his castle’s bedroom. His master nowhere to be found, castle overrun by demons, and only his trusted arsenal as means to stop them and make sense of it all - the young warlock must now collect himself, his guns, recharge the staff and make his way to a nearby stronghold spewing hordes of the hideous monsters.

Project Warlock II picks up right after the events of the first game, shifting the perspective to that of three disciples of the first game’s Warlock. Each perfecting their own discipline, with his or hers reasons to confront the old master. Utilising everything their mentor taught them, and harnessing the powers of combat magic, pyromancy and dark arts - Palmer, Urd and Kirsten must now put their hard earned skills to the test.

Get ready for three explosive episodes - each revolving around a different Warlock with their own skills, perks and arsenal, and featuring a distinct setting, menagerie of deadly monsters, requisite boss hulking in the darkness and more secrets, weapon upgrades, pickups and jumping, strafing, and spraying trigger happy action that you can shake a lightning staff at.

  • Each of the Warlocks carries a different arsenal based around their personas and playstyles

  • Tools of destruction can be upgraded through special stations resulting in 20+ weapons for each Warlock

  • Shotguns, machine guns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers, quad barrelled harvesters, swords, staffs, cannons - and that’s just Palmer’s toys

  • In Project Warlock magic is only supplementing weapons, or - as some put it - totally useless

  • In Project Warlock II each of the Warlocks has his or hers three cooldown-able skills to use and support gun- or magic-play

  • Project Warlock’s monsters defining trait was their relentlessness. That same applies to describe their strategy, Tactics. And - probably - problem solving approach. As the saying goes - when you’re a hammer everything looks like a Warlock trying to pump you full of hot magical lead

  • Project Warlock II’s monsters jump, run, hold back when needed, hop, whirl and use each of the different attacks on their disposal to make your life as miserable as only a pigdemon with welded-shut cestuses and spiked back can

  • Each world consists of six huge, sprawling levels - size of each roughly 5-10 times bigger than any individual level of Project Warlock

  • Expect to spend up to one hour on each of the PWII’s levels, or more to find all the secrets, easter eggs, perks and achievements

  • Experience multi-floored structures, platforms and buildings that literally elevate the gameplay from that of the original Project Warlock

  • Let’s keep this one short. Project Warlock has no saving whatsoever.

  • Project Warlock II has all the saving. Quicksave (F6), Manual Save (choose your slot) and Autosave. There is literally no other save that we could push in there.

Very good, but why don’t you have Chinese? As the largest market in the world, if there is Chinese, more people will play it.

There are some difficulties in the game. If it can be saved, it will be better if it can be revived from the place of death rather than from the beginning

AR-K: The Great Escape

AR-K: The Great Escape

After playing the first 2 episodes I can safely say that this is the best episode so far!!! The developers certainly improved the game quality in both ways: technically and direction-wise. The following points sums up the following:

Pros:

  • Gameplay quality much improved from first 2 episodes

  • Puzzles more interesting

  • Protagonist given more depth in character

  • Story development much more natural

  • Render quality improved

  • This episode is much more bug free than previous 2 episodes

It’s great when you come to a game and it’s a lot better than you thought it would be. While I enjoyed ar-k 1 and 2 and I do recommend those games to play first, this for me is a lot better - story, graphics, setting. The writing was very good and if you didn’t want to read everything, you didn’t need to click on that character’s bit of conversation but could come back to it if you wanted. I liked the humour, and it was witty in parts. It is the perfect balance of not just a good story which is vital in an adventure game but also good interactive gameplay.

This game is seriously just a masterpiece. It felt similar to playing a live version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules or just watching Holes (2003) for the first time. Most fun I’ve had in a while, plus I 100%’d it (steam please make it visible on my account)

The game is a nice change of pace. It is the first game for me where you attack with the joystick. The controls took a little getting used to. Especially my aim was not good, but with a little practice it worked.

The visuals of the game and the music are nice.

In the course of the game you can level up and you get new abilities. This makes the gameplay interesting and fun.

Separately, I must praise the developer, because he responded very quickly to a problem of mine. I had rendering problems and he eagerly sat down with me until we found the problem.

This game is freaking phenomenal worth every penny it’s a bit short, but god does it play smooth. The boss’s are challenging and it does one of the best things a video game can do which is make you feel over powered and awesome while challenging you with great mechanics. I cannot recommend this enough do yourself a service and treat yourself to this masterpiece.
