A Space For The Unbound - Prologue

This is just a Demo for an upcoming full game but I had to recommend it!

It’s a relaxing cozy heartwarming adventure game with lovely pixelated visuals!

The whole game and most of all the background of each scene reminds me of the Sega Genesis era and gave me a nostalgic feeling!

I felt like I could play this game forever! but sadly the demo finished so soon even though I almost walked the whole game and didn’t use the running key so I can enjoy the active and lovely background of each scene to the fullest!

A Space for the Unbound oozes personality and charm in spades. On the one hand, the pixel art is undeniably gorgeous; I’m reminded of a specific pixel artist, 1041uuu, who showed slice-of-life moments in Japan; the difference here being, of course, the setting in rural Indonesia. There’s a lot of fleshed out art with plenty of dimension while still being simple and aesthetically pleasing. On the other hand, the time and place absolutely shines through; having been there myself, I felt transported back to Indonesia — the lush scenery, the unique homes, and the animals lazing about took me right back to Bali and all its beauty (and, yes, you can most definitely pet the cats).

Hanefield Asylum

For a solo developed game, this played pretty well. The jump scares weren’t obvious like in a lot of games, and offered a good sense of fear throughout the game. The additional content after you complete the game was great. A lot of action in a small amount of time, and added more depth to the story of Hanesfield Asylum. Definitely a great buy for less than $10.

I actually had some fun playing this - I thought it was a great premise and the spooks did work really well. However the lack of a save game is a major thumbs down. I can cope with the excessive shots enemies need to bring them down and some glitches here and there - but I’m doing a series on this game on my YouTube channel and haven’t finished the game in one go so I’ve had to go back to the start every time I want to play the next section.

Enjoyed the horror theme though, the devs nailed it.

Killing Time

Killing Time

This is the second FPS I played when I was young (Doom 2 was the first). This game was so scary back then. It took me 12h to complete it. This FPS is different from others as it has only one huge map. It is not a classical get the red/yellow/blue keys to complete the level. There is some short videos that reveal the story peace by peace. The weapon are great.

Only drawback are the controls. But once you get use to it you’ll almost forget about them.

I finally finnished that game I started 23 years ago :)

This game took me years to get up and running simply because it does not run well on modern systems out of the box; going from garbled graphics one year, no sound the next and then just refuses to boot after that - I had given up hope trying to get it up and running. But thanks to the wonderful work of the Killing Time community and the fan patch they have been updating for years; I can finally play and enjoy the game and I’ll confidently say that this game is a real hidden if very flawed little gem of a classic 90s boomer shooter! Time may have forgotten it but after discovering it for the first time myself, I really hope more people will give this game a try.

Runo

Runo

Awesome little Indie Game with some Firewatch Elements. I love the atmosphere and all the little Infos about the Finnish Mythology. Really well made even if it’s a little short. Apart from all the nice textures and Finnish Landscapes I have to say that even with the slithest sense of an adventurer you get out of bounds really easily. If you just play the game the intended way it’s already fun but exploring the outer worlds is really interesting too ;)

It’s a short and funky game about Finnish folklore.

Honestly, it’s worth playing for the old Nokia with a camera magically strapped to it alone.

It’s free, you learn some Finnish words and folklore and get to read some colourful heartfelt writing about what seems to be a common topic to reminisce about if you’ve grown up in the area.

Also, it has some janky interactions due to Unity, don’t go out of your way to try and break the game, just enjoy it :)

(the game can be finished in under an hour, me breaking it made me lose time lol, heed my advice)

The Skinwalker Investigations

The Skinwalker Investigations

Amidst dozens of reports of missing people, mutilated animals, unidentified lights in the sky, strange creatures and odd poltergeist-like activity, two FBI agents are sent to investigate a mysterious ranch in order to ascertain the truth. What they uncover becomes a hellish nightmare beyond imagining!

You’ve may have heard of the ranch in Utah said to be “in the path of the skinwalker.” It is the most scientifically studied paranormal hotspot in history, anywhere in the world. The US government has spent tens of millions of dollars investigating it and most of what has been uncovered is classified. What most don’t know, however, is that there was once another ranch just like it located in Colorado! Now experience it for yourself in terrifying and immersive survival horror VR!

  • Explore a mysterious ranch steeped in history and the paranormal - Witness all sorts of terrifying phenomena reported at the ranch over the years, from mysterious orbs of light that seem intelligently guided; strange, grotesque creatures and entities of all shapes and sizes; to peculiar “holes” that open in the sky that seem to be gateways to other worlds, and more!

  • Fend off or hide from an assortment of frightening cryptids, creatures and monsters - Horrifying creatures from another dimension are prowling the ranch and searching for you! Not to mention the skinwalker itself, an evil, shape-shifting witch that can take many forms!

  • Find an array of weapons around the ranch to help destroy your foes - From more standard weapons like the .22 pistol, shotgun, .45 magnum, submachine gun, and hunting rifle to more unorthodox weapons like a bow and arrow (with different types of arrows), flamethrower, grenades, chainsaw and even a crucifix!

  • Find hidden precious gems to upgrade your weapons - Find twelve varieties of precious gemstones hidden around the ranch to upgrade your weapons! Diamonds, rubies, sapphires, emeralds, spinels, tanzanites, onyxs, aquamarines, clinohumites, kyanites, amethysts and citrines! Each variety comes in five different shapes/cuts, so sixty different gemstones in all! Can you find them all?

  • Solve puzzles to unlock new areas and weapons using clues and riddles scattered around the ranch - Can you solve the grand mystery? What is the cause of so many very different phenomena, especially in one location? What exactly is happening at this ranch??

For more in-depth, in-game information, please visit The Skinwalker Investigations Wiki on Fandom (the link on the right side of this page: View the manual). I have tried to get some of the initial walkthrough as well as other information uploaded. Keep checking back as I update it every so often.

Anemoiapolis: Chapter 1

Anemoiapolis: Chapter 1

ENCOUNTER

You have fallen into a surreal and haunted underground neighborhood. Discover its origins and escape with your life - and sanity - intact.

OBSERVE

Remember that hallway you found at your workplace or school? The one you didn’t realize was there before. Nobody ever goes there, it has no windows, and it seemingly has no purpose. The lights might be on, the floor is usually clean, but it exists for nobody.

This transitional place is the lifeblood of Anemoiapolis: a world with no sunlight and no humanity, buzzing with fluorescent apathy. It does not care about you, yet it watches intently.

SURVIVE

Experience the dungeon-like malls, pools, hallways, and basements of Anemoiapolis in first person. Utilize platforming and puzzle solving to navigate the barren commercial catacombs. If you start to feel complacent, you might not be ready for what’s around the corner.

ABOUT

Anemoiapolis reflects the experiences of a developer who grew up among empty buildings in Midwest USA, and who is currently processing our world of empty buildings brought on by COVID-19.

Expect critiques on mindless consumerism, feelings of impending doom, and eerie “mallcore” aesthetics.
