Ryte - The Eye of Atlantis
The game probably has not been well tested. Every time I have problems with random items, I find something, I try to pick it up and put it in the bag and … the item disappears, it is neither in the bag nor in the game. Restarting the game helps miraculously and the item reappears in the game. This is the game’s biggest problem (not the only one). It’s hard to feel the story when you lose a key item every time and you need to restart. Oculus version.

Ryte - The Eye Of Atlantis - These guys went all out to create a “point and click” adventure that is similar to older point and click adventures like Myst but in the great new world of VR.
So just how are the puzzles? This game lives up to the hype of creating an experience similar to MYST of old school days. These are not simple and straight forward easy puzzles. The puzzles start easy enough but quickly they get into quite complicated out-of-the-box thinking to progress. It is an enjoyable and fun reminder of games that use to be.

Killing Sun / 抗日大刀队:日军总部
A few non-exclusive store bought assets here and there, but overall is a lot of fun! Loads of levels, secrets and enemy types. All weapons are fun to use and ammo tends to be quite plentiful.

Tattletail
So, this is one of my scariest games yet, but SCP was definetly the more challenging, besides that they are many pros and cons that i found while playing this magnificent game, each one will have a detailed explanation about why I beleive this.
PROS
The atmosphere was simply fantastic, it kept me on my seat, something most horror games just couldnt coprehend, the sounds and spooky sounds always kept the feeling eerie and creepy, which should always be a Pro for Games like these
The mechanics are also fairly decent and amazing, took me 2 hours to figure it out but in the end, it turned to an easy yet challenging experience that i personally find enjoyable and Reasonable for these type of horror survival games

Tattletail follows an unknown but presumably young main protagonist during the week of Christmas engaging various questionable activities with their newly mysterious toy Tattletail. Although they’re aware opening this present prior to Christmas is risky, it becomes unexpectedly encouraged once strange supernatural events occur after the toy is removed from its packaging. Tattletail is seemingly a good toy made for the whole family until it’s later revealed something more threatening is prepared to reign over the protagonist’s household.

The Labyrinth of Time
It took me quite a while to decide whether or not I’d recommend this game. I like it, let’s be clear on that, but I love this type of game in general, so that is certainly affecting my judgement. But many other games do this better, and this game engages in some prime sins of bad point and click adventures.
Pros:
Gorgeous artwork
Nicely varied locations
Decent puzzles
Good music
Cons:
Counter intuitive control scheme
Repetitive Mazes
No settings access
Sins:
1. Looking at an object should never result in the message “Nothing Happens.” Everything you look at should have a description, and if you’re looking at something that was never programmed to be looked at, the message should at least say something more like “This isn’t anything important.”

Criminally forgotten adventure game. Keep in mind that there are “western adventure game"isms like pointless items, unwinnable situations, etc. but still a relatively friendly game all in all.

Battlezone 98 Redux
Important disclosure here: Prior to the release of BZ98R (and still to this day), I have been a player of the original game up until it’s final unofficial patch version 1.5.2.27 U1. This game is entirely based on this community patch.
People who have played 1.5 are going to feel differently about the game than people who last played it 20 years ago (1.3, 1.31, 1.4…). The same goes for people who had never played BZ98 in any form prior to purchasing this game.
This review involves numerous statements of objective fact but it was still written by someone who was playing 1.5 for years prior to the release of this game.

This is the best game you’ve never played. It’s the hidden gem of hidden gems.
Set in an alternate 1960s where the space race is just a cover for a cold war turned hot, the United States and Soviet Union secretly deploy massive armies into space in pursuit of an extra-terrestrial substance, bio-metal, that can be used to craft amazing and powerful weapons of war. The National Space Defense Force (NSDF) and Cosmos Colonist Army (CCA) do battle over control of the bio-metal throughout the solar system using hover tanks crafted from the precious material. Battlezone has some of the best sci-fi lore of any game- don’t skip over the briefings and debriefings!

Bullet Wave
Even though it’s short and quite buggy, Bullet Wave is a fun way to kill half an hour. I’ve played it for about twice that, 58 minutes to be exact, and I don’t really plan to go back to it anytime soon, but considering it’s only a dollar, why wouldn’t you try it?

Pretty good for what it is. Short, fun to play. Could use a few fixes here and there but other than that it’s not bad. The boss is a little too tanky in my opinon but other than that it’s good.

Eradicator
This is one of my favourite but sadly underrated shooters from the 90’s. Having played a demo of it at a young age I always longed to play the full version and bought the big box of it a couple of years ago. Now it seems the game is finally on Steam and so you might want to know a thing or two about it.
Eradicator is an oldschool shooter in the veins of Doom and Duke Nukem 3D, to which it shares most of its similarities though it is rather unique for its time. For one, it features multiple characters, each with their own personality. The weapons are also all rather interesting and serve different purposes. Another groundbreaking feature for this game was the ability to use RC cars and other remote controlled devices thanks to something called PIP (picture-in-picture) view. Another enjoyable thing about the game is the ability to switch between third person and first person perspectives at will (or automatically if you so choose) which helps immensely with the platforming sections, of which there are plentiful. The graphics are also really good for their time and give the game a gritty and dirty sci-fi atmosphere I enjoy a lot.

As a mostly forgotten 90s-era fps, Eradicator holds up pretty well gameplay wise even today. I remember getting the full-blown version as an added bonus for buying the brand new AWE64 Sound Blaster card circa 1996, and I was rather surprised by how good it was. The engine (apparently developed in-house by Accolade) feels very similar to the build engine that powered hits like Duke 3d, Blood, and shadow warrior. There’s even a level of destructibility to the environments here as well. Eradicator seems to place more of an emphasis on puzzle solving and platforming that all-out running and gunning, which can be a double edged sword. I do like the objective completion system in place of traditional key hunting, it’s add a little more variety and interest in the story that it would otherwise. Also, the weapons here (and there are a ton of them) are fairly unique. Every character has their melee attack and standard pew-pew laser pistol, but them you get things like the sonic shock cannon (functional equivalent of a shotgun), death dart (minigun, assualt rifle equivalent) and rover mines (rc car bomb), which makes them more fun to use than your standard fps staples.

Redneck Rampage Rides Again
The original soundtrack is not provided. How can you play Redneck Rampage without the original music the original game came with? That, and the controls are hard, because they’re not mapped to normal shooter keyboard layout. You have to press the ALT key to strafe, like with some games that came out at this time.
I actually already have this game stashed away somewhere, and from what I recall you can remap the keys. That, and the CD has all of the songs licensed by Xatrix. Oh well.
Did I mention there’s no cuss pack with this thing?

Avalon: Sacred Crusade
“Beware the schemes of mortal men. For all the shortness of their lives, they lust to leave their mark. Before this hubris, even the Gods can be tumbled.” - Merlin the Outcast
To some, Avalon is an idea, a myth, an ideal, perfection; it is a place outside of time or space, an eternal edifice. To others, it is home. The Avalonians share much with Humanity, but one cannot remain in Avalon for long without becoming something… else. Long ago, in the forgotten age of The Migration, the Covenant was formed: the bridges between realms would be closed.
Their greatest criminals, however, continued to be cast out forever to languish in the mundane realm. Some lived as Oracles, Saints, or Wizards. Others we remember in legends of darkness: Sorcerers, Shapeshifters, Blood-drinkers, scattered across time.
Now though, the realms grow close once again, the veil between them weakening by unknown machinations. The Grail has been stolen, and without it, evils long buried are rising in ever greater numbers. The call to battle has gone out for the first time in this age, and many have answered it. These new defenders of the ancient Covenant must not fail, for the fate of both realms now hangs in the balance.
A Blast From the Past
Return to an era before all stats were homogenized into just health and mana. Avalon: Sacred Crusade takes heavy inspiration from popular RPG titles of the 1990s and features rich character customization that allows you to select your character’s origin, attributes, spells, and equipment.
No easy recoveries or quick wins here. Deal with a classic death penalty system where you drop your items on the ground and need to retrieve them. Experience what it was truly like to play early MMORPGs and graphical MUDs.
You may choose to adventure alone, however, the game features a robust party system which allows up to six players to work together in the same group. For the best experience, bring your friends - or make new ones in the game!
An Authentic Retro Experience
Listen to classic 16-bit Sound Blaster effects while you slash away at pre-rendered 2D sprites. You can experience all of this without the usual hassle of running a retro game on a modern system. Avalon: Sacred Crusade will run on any DirectX 10 capable PC!
